Hey girls, how are you all? Really sorry we've not replied sooner. This site doesn't notify me when new comments come on this thread. Nat just text me to let me know ha. How is eveyone?! Where abouts does everyone live? I'm in Runaway Bay atm. Me and a few other girls & couples that met on here, meet up quite regularly for food, drinks etc! So if any of you fancy coming along and meeting up with us all then that would be fab :-) its pretty tough making friends, and I miss my girls from home loads so the more the merrier :-) xxx

Hey Jess, Hope you had a nice Christmas back in the UK? I've already told Pam, but unfortunately my bf Tom has been sent away to Perth with work. He left on Thursday and isn't too sure when he will be back yet. It may be a week or so yet tho :'( As soon as he gets back though would be great to organise a meet up! I'm open minded for anything! In the meantime though, if you wanted to perhaps have a girlie get together next weekend or something, then just let me. Else we can sort something out when Toms back x

Hi everyone! My bf and I moved to the Gold Coast at the end of November..am loving it here so far but as sad as it is I am struggling a bit to make friends. I've just started work at a very small company, which doesn't really help much! Would be great if any girlies wanted to hang out or go for a drink or two at some point.. FINALLY GOT OUR VISA GRANT!!!!!!!!! Hi all, you can now update the spreadsheet for me as on the 22nd November our visa finally got GRANTED! We flew to oz the next day and we're now living on the Gold Coast! Good luck if ur still waiting.

Hi mannnu, many thanks for your reply. Sooo frustrating that after waiting for so long, to then find out the cause of the delay is due to someone's stupid mistake in uploading files. That's a good idea in asking to raise the priority of the request. after the correct files were uploaded successfully for you, how long was it until GH looked at your case again? Sorry for the questions, just need some peace of mind!!! kerryann

Finally I've had an email back from the visa officer. Not great news though. The email said that HOC have had to contact my panel doctor as they submitted some incorrect document and have had to contact them to re-submit. I'm not happy that this is the cause of my delay! Has anybody else experienced this and had this happen? If so..how long has it delayed you by? I'm so angry!!!

And sorry forgot to say that was the number I rang. It did ring, which was promising but went to an answer machine. I've emailed for te meantime but will try to ring again tomorrow. Let me know how you get on.

Im also on a 175 visa danievh. Mine have been referred since 3 sept. I keep logging on here everyday to see if anyone else in September is being processed also, so would be interested to know too!! I phoned today and just got an answer phone as it said their opening hours were only til 4pm so I just missed them.

Hello, my bf is the main applicant for a 175 visa and I'm going as his de-facto partner. My medical has been referred since 3rd September and when I ask my agent what's going I don't get anywhere. Does anyone have a correct number for global health as the number my agent provided doesn't work. Global health seems to be a joke! If your'e behind schedule it's quite simple: Employ more people!

Still waiting been referred since 3rd sept! Bf was finalised straight away so just waiting in mine. Fed up now. Thing that annoys me the most is the lack of communication. No indication from anyone with any sort of timescale or why they've even been referred in the first place grr. I'm e health as well so hoped that would speed thing up, but obviously not.

Hi Natasha! You'll be pleased to here the weather is is already freeezing!!! It was 6.5 degrees this morning on my way to work.. brrrrr!!! I hope its nice and sunny where you are atm?! Thats one thing I'm still definitely looking forward to is some half decent weather!!! Broadbeach sounds nice, have you settled in with finding yourself around the area now? I'm completely terrible with navigating myself, so no doubt I'll be getting myself lost ALL the time haha!! Ah thats not great to here you found getting a job difficult eeek! What line of work are you in, and what visa do you have? I'm a partner on my bf's 175 visa - so we'll have permanent residency for 4 yrs! Has you bf found work ok? Hi Natasha & steveNem.. Ahhh I know, its only 2 weeks til I fly now and am getting more and more sad at the thought of leaving all my good friends and family behind!! Thank god for Skype though (I just keep telling myself that ha!!!) We are hoping to be in Coomera, where abouts are you?? I hear cars are very expensive over there? And no I dont have a job to come too :-O but I hoping it wont be too bad to find one fingers crossed eek!!! But my bf has pretty much got one set up, so hopefully we'll be ok!! Did you have your job set up before you left the UK? Yeah will be great to meet up when I finally get out there I dont actually fly into Oz until 3rd Nov, as we go to Thailand for a month first .. so will have to sort something out for November if you fancy!? xxx

Hey.. I've having a similar problem as you too!!! I only did my medical 2 weeks ago - and they found a trace of blood .. i did another urine sample at the time of the medica (15 mins after the first one!!) and obviously that had blood in there too. Just heard yesterday that my medicals been referred, but my boyfriends is fine and being finalised! Only problem is I am due to fly on the 4th October so only 3 weeks now and am worried it wont be done in time!!!!! Did yours get resolved in the end? What happened? Sooo frustrating, that this is the last hurdle to get past now after a year of waiting for the visa!!! :arghh: Thanks.

Thanks Melly, its so frustrating when your at the last bit after a year and more of waiting.. and yet another hurdle and delay isnt it!!! Especially when you have no idea with whats actually happening! I've read on some threads that some wait for a couple of months but others are finalised after 2/3 weeks. Fingers crossed we both get ours finalised soon!! Good luck with everything.

Also...I'm assuming this is the hold up! And it's not anything else or more serious!! :-/

Getting very nervous and anxious now!! myself and my boyfriend are due to fly in 3 weeks in the 4th and there's been a small issue with my medical. We only did it 2 weeks ago & my boyfriends is fine and being finalised however mine has been referred! When we did my test 2 weeks ago, at the time the doctor told me they had found a trace of blood in my urine and that I need to drink more. Said it shouldn't be anything to worry about but they'll send them off. He said it can sometime happen if you and due a period or just finishe one. Has anyone else had this problem?? If so how long did it take and what happened? Is this anything to worry about :-/ just getting very nervous as time is of the essence for us now!! Thanks for you help kerryann

Hi Ian, My boyfriend is a carpenter/boat builder and we are moving out the beg of Oct. He is getting all of his tools shipped over, along with a few other bits. I cant help you on what tools you should bring as I have no idea LOL, but i know that we are getting all of his tools shipped over..although he doesn't have any overly large tools. We found getting quotes a bit more confusing and more hard work than we thought. The company we are 99% going to use though are PSS Removals - found them the easiest to deal with & understand. We got a quote for £450 for express delivery 3-8days for 2 x boxes (1 is for the tools!) and one bike box. Shipping by sea is alot cheaper, but takes a while to arrive.. between 8-12 weeks. Hi Natasha, I'm moving to the Gold Coast in November with my boyfriend also. Getting very nervous now & my biggest worry is about making new friends and meeting people also! I have a great bunch of girl friends at home at the moment, so am worried if I find it a struggle to make new friends then I'll start to miss home alot!! How are you settling in a few months in??
