  1. Brill report made me realise my OH would be like you were I can sleep almost anywhere lol where he'll not sleep at all on any flights or be lucky if he got an hr... I'm going show him this hopefully he'll realise when we go Oz he'll have to try harder, never mind watching all films x

  2. Just seen this thread.

hope you take VS up on his offer, he is one of the good guys

I've replied to your posts in the past and know you haven't had it easy. I too am willing to help. I've spoken with the OH and we can offer you a room until you find your feet. We are only renting ourselves and have two dogs, but they get on great with other dogs and are so laid back.

Or if you just need food, or someone to look after you dog. Please let me know

    Fi xx

Ahh that's is sooo nice & decent of you & your OH Fifi & VERYSTORMY I too have been thinking & worried about Disillusionscot & his dog max, sat here crying at his situation that anyone could find themselves in & how kind everyone is trying to help, can't help it got a big heart myself, I really do hope everything works out for the u Alan & your Max x

  3. That's good to know I could never get bored of hearing lovely happy stories of people's new life down under lol, especially after a few years hearing how settled you are, wayyyyy better than doom & gloom things about oz, but I read them too to get a rounded view hopefully... & just hope it works out for us like it has for you's x

  4. Hey welcome back I pop on here every now & then & yesterday I thought The Hoff... its gotta be you Jim, if not I thought someone has pinched your name lol cos most people called you Hoff anyway haha, just I knew you'd come back x

  5. You sound like a sensible person Rupert! One thing my Dad taught me was good money managing skills! And I've taught my kids the same and none of us are in debt! Please parents.....Do your kids a favour and teach them the value of money!:cute:

Yep I agree my Dad teached me, I've also never been in debt & I'm 36, I've always saved hard for everything I want & everyone that know me knows I'm good at it, it's behond me how people get in debt so easily. I teach my kids about saving & not getting in debt too

  6. I'm sorry but the only person that ever seems rude & totally up your own a*** pp is you! I've followed your post & you confuse people & bite there heads off usually at the slightest comment & then when they try to understand where your coming from you just turn on people so you usually get it back especially the famous thread of your struggling on your joint income of $200, 000 a year (sorry), think that was a bit hard for people to swallow

  7. Ahh glad your coming out of hospital & hope you get well soon, some people are horrible & rude I hope you don't help the selfish people who have sent any nasty pm's to you, they don't deserve your help, people should be grateful if you even reply to there messages never mind help them out personally

  8. Wish you would...

Haha I really would if it came to it, I understand a few on here like to wind each other up & it is funny sometimes but quite a few times it's a bit much, especially if your just wanting a bit of info, like I say to my kids sometimes- 'if you can't say something nice don't say nothing at all' lol, there's some really nice & helpful people on here like yourself, its funny because you can tell most of time who the better people are on here & from what I've seen & been reading over past 10 months even before I joined about 96% on are nice & have got some lovely little stories to tell or some great information which we sometimes need over here, also I wouldn't be on here if I wasn't truly interested in emigrating to Australia, I'd have better things to do with my life, I nearly emigrated years ago ( did paperwork etc) but decided against it that was with my now ex partner, years later... older & wiser.. we've only got next few years to do it points wise on the 189 on my partner's trade so it's either now or never for us

  9. These's 5 of us in 4 bed house & all bills including food - shop around for best deals!, & fuel for me ( but i don't travel far) = roughly 1700 a month at least & this does not include eating out, nights out, savings for xmas, hols, mortgage, clothes etc, hope this helps

Upppss! Sorry I did include my mortgage in that, so not including mortgage & extra's = £1200 a month

  10. These are harmless and very cute

Got a family in our backyard. We put out a peeled banana for them to eat, but the possums and scrub turkeys like the bananas as well.

    Cheers, Bobj.

That's ace, there's so many weird & wonderful creatures in Aus, can't wait to see them all myself x

  11. We've had 2 redbacks in the garden (one on the edge of the pool and one on a bamboo post) in Perth. Sprayed them fast. Saw one unknown spider on the stairs. He was flattened with a shoe, no questions asked. In the UK we gave spiders the benefit of the doubt and if they stayed on the ceiling they lived, if they ventured onto the floor they died. Here, if it has 8 legs it dies. No mercy.

This is sooo funny me & Oh was laughing at this, & totally agree!x

  12. Parrots, wallabies...soft, cuddly??????

Haha I was just messing!! I know quite a few parrots.. & they could take your finger off lol & there supposed to be tame, I do know there all wild'!
