  1. Hi Babu, It depends on the case officer as there is no time guidelines for making a decision. It could take minutes, day or a week or sometimes a month. At the end of the day it entirely depends on the case officer. Regards
  2. Hi southafrican, The statement you made is completely incorrect. Information provided at the lodgment only needs to be current and current and accurate. As DIAC takes a long time to process applications, it makes the process even slower if they keep on updating individuals information. form 80 covers all these aspects. regards
  3. Hi Kaiser99, All you need to do is to make sure that you provide up to date and correct information at the time of lodgement. After that you are not required to update any information as you will be asked to fill form 80 when your application will be allocated to the case officer. If you meet the requirements of the visa on the date of lodgement, it doesn't make any difference which industry you are working when the decision is made on your application. Regards
  4. Hello Mann, If you lodged your visa application on or before 30 june 2011 you were not required to submit the ielts at the time of lodgement. Ielts can be submitted at the time of final decision on your application which is when you get a case officer. Dont worry you are safe and eligible.
  5. Hello Everyone ! It has been a long time that i haven't posted any information on this blog. As you all can see that DIAC is behaving very strangely nowadays, the reason for this change of behavior is the way DIAC evaluate applications contemporary. DIAC is picking up applicants randomly regardless of there lodgement dates, what that means is that even if your file is not allocated to a case officer that doesn't mean it is not processing. DIAC does a full evaluation of your file before allocating you to a case officer. DIAC verifies your work experience even before you know about it , but that doesn't mean date of lodgement order is completely faded. Applicants are still allocated in a precise manner but its true that some people get case officers before others. I advise people lodged 885 in early 2011 ..keep your documents updated for fast processing as i am assigned 885 applications in my migration office. Good luck to everyone
  6. Its hard to say but we will have more reliable time frame in next few months. You have a good chance of your application processed within this year. And Yes..it's correct that some applicants from early June 2010 have been allocated to Case officers.
  7. Allocation of priority group 5 subclass 885 doesn't stop..it either slows down or picks up pace but never stops. It is expected to gain pace dramatically in next few months.
  8. We are getting document requests for 885 applications lodged in January 2010. I work in migration agents office and occupations doesn't make any diffrence.
  9. Diac has already started the allocation of 885 2010 applications.
  10. Dear Zion king..DIAC's planning changes dramatically in the second half of the financial year Because in the second half of the year they realize that they dont have enough applicants applying for other visa subclasses. In other words they have better targets and numbers. They have more information and better planning levels as compared to the first half. They move around the figures as necessary so in the beginning of the year they say 4200 FS but at the end of the year they increase that number to almost double to fill up the migration planning level.

  12. Hi deepak, as you haven't provided me enough information regarding your application, i am unable to answer your question. But if you have applied 886 cat 5 before 1 july 2009.. there a very good chance.
  13. DIAC is planning to increase the quota for 886 applications as it is anticipated that there will be less applications in the other visa subclasses. But the priority will be given to people applying through skill select and priority group 4 applicants and if there is some places left will be allocated to priority group 5 886 applicants. So as if for now it seems like 886 2009 applicants still have a good chance of getting their application finalised in this financial year. And if you are wondering how do i know this ...I work with a migration agent and DIAC provides us updates every week. Thank you
