  1. perhaps couple of days. You should send an Email to your case officer asking if everything is OK, and good luck for you.
  2. Sorry to hear about your troubles Walvia, but this is immigration...it is a tough and challenging matter. I was like you unable to sleep because of thinking of how will I pay the rent of my room? how will I get a job? And just in one second I got a job. Regarding racist, really there was no problem with the official treatment in Australia, but if you consider public places nobody will has that many glances like me (I'm from the Middle East) so as soon as I enter a pub every body starts looking. I think it is a natural behaviour that people look at people of different background and this situation will happen to a European if he is in the Middle East. So be brave and stay strong. regarding Wok, why not you consider regional Western Australia it is relatively boring but there are many opportiunities up there. All my best wishes for you.
  3. Yeh why not we all meet each other...it will make me feel family as living alone in this country is not really interesting.
  4. that is amazing,, wish you good luck

  8. I am not sure about that my dear ..due to several reasons: first the rental cost is relatively high in Perth, starting your living period in the regional area & to have a fixed address to issue a Driving Licence which is really very important in the Australian everyday activities Of course I wish you good luck
  9. Good luck Ceelin......I will arrive early May and I will be heading directly to Bunbury (so far) and start to arrange for my life there
  10. Hi all I'm heading to Bunbury, South west and I want to know about the best banks up there. Any Recommendations? Thx

  12. Yes i saw that, and I contacted recruitment agencies and some of them told me I have to be in Australia to considered for a job wish me luck
  13. I would like to thank you guys about for your concern, and I would like to explain more things about my visa: I am holding A Skilled regional Provisional Visa SubClass 475,, which does not qualify me to live and work in Perth. State sponsorship didn't specify an a regional area to live and work,, they only told me that I allowed to live anywhere within Western Australia except Perth. and my concern is about whether I choose a regional area and go directly and settle there or stay for a moth or over in Perth (as a base to seek a job) and then go to the area where my work will be again and again I would like to thank you all
  14. I'm very happy to hear that,,, you are helping us to overcome the stress and anxiety of immigration.... as Man thinks of leaving his home land and immigrating overseas, he feels uncertainty. you gave me personally hope and made me very energized to go. I will arrive next May, wish me luck and keep in touch with us
  15. I am a mechanical engineer and I am holding a Skilled Regional Provisional visa, so I have to settle within regional Western Australia. My first choice to settle is Bunbury to work and live in, but I am alittle bit confused about how to settle in a regional area. I am thinking that I should go to the selected town or city and start to live and rent an apartment and seek a job,,other friends told me it may be better to stay in Perth and look for work from there as it will be easier to look for a job in a big city like Perth as all companies' headquarters are there. I am waiting for your advices, which are very helpful for me thx.
  16. Hi everyone,,, just an update I booked my ticket on 3rd of May....wish me luck by the way, why not we consider writing a new thread and share information regarding our first steps in Australia in general and Western Australia in particular(as many will go there)?
  17. Good luck my dear,,,,we have waited so long for the Meds to be finalized and know it is the time to face your dream
  18. How lovely !!! I'm headed to Bunbury as well and it is my first choice to work and live in Wish you a happy move to Australia and good luck and I will write you then:biggrin:
  19. I chose BUPA and I had contacted them in order to prepare my insurance in advance. I will move to Regional Western Australia next May & I'm a mechanical engineer. I would like to keep in touch with you as we are targeting the same destination
  20. Hi Merry Christmas every body I am holding a skilled regional sponsored visa (subclass 475) which does not entitle me to be covered by Medicare and my nationality does not qualify me for reciprocal Medicare. Last two days I was searching Private health insurance funds, to apply for overseas visitor health insurance, and I could not decide which one will offer the best service within WA. So, what are the best companies that offer overseas visitor policies? Taking into consideration that I'm single and will be living in regional WA.
