  1. Good luck to all of you waiting to hear some good news. This forum has helped keep me sane (well almost!) over the past months. All systems go for us, removals come tomorrow and our flights are booked for 20th June, didn't see the point in hanging around .
  2. Yipeeee.......our visas have come through this morning
  3. Thanks Blossom, think it's because they have to contact HR in Queensland rather than the actual centre! Wouldn't surprise me if immi have the wrong contact details as the person who was originally dealing with my application has left, bet they haven't given immi new details of the person now dealing with it - so I have!! Think the company is going to be hard working with, but 2 years will hopefully fly by and should all be worth it in the end
  4. Looks like we're another step closer , very excited. Had this email this morning "The application is nearing finalisation. One of the requirements for the grant of this visa is that applicants must meet Regulation 119.221: blah, blah, blah......In this regard please note that despite several attempts I have been unsuccessful in contacting your sponsor to confirm that the offer of employment is still open and available to you on a full-time basis for a period of at least 2 years." Well that's just typical of the company sponsoring me, I've had contact/response issues all the way through the process, so not concerned!! Anyway I had an email from the company last Friday asking for any updates! So I've just sent several emails to them with the email I've received from immigration and have my Aunt in Australia phoning them first thing in the morning to make sure they're getting it sorted. Fingers are crossed, we will have some good news soon, it's only been 11 months of waiting
  5. I emailed immigration last week asking about Skill level of my occupation. This morning I have had a response from the case officer who is processing my application , best news I've heard in a very long time, fingers crossed the long wait will soon be over for us.
  6. Just wondering if anybody has got an updated 'automated response' from immigration, interested to know where Perth are at now. Last time I heard was at the beginning of April and it was 7 May for RSMS, but it seemed to have been stuck on that date for a long time .
  7. Like everyone else out there feeling really fed up of the wait. Immigration requested updated police checks and children's information on 1st March 2013, I sent it all off within 2 weeks and still heard nothing .
  8. what type of things can I send as "updated proof" that my children are still dependant on us for housing and food?? All four still live with us as they cannot afford to have their own place, 2 aged 19 and 21 have jobs (not well paid) and we provide all meals. The other 2 are 16 and 18, both still in full time education and plan to continue with education so they are not so bad as I have a letter from school stating still in education. Can't beleive they want proof for the 16 year old in the first place!!
  9. Just looked they were dated 2nd Feb 2012, so annoying that they've been sat with immi since June, that's another cost of £270 down the drain
  10. Just had an email from immigration asking for further information before a co can be allocated. Asking for:- Certified copy of passport personal particulars - originally sent in with application Penal clearance certificates - originally sent in with application except for one son who wasn't 16 at the time, just applied for one so waiting for it to arrive! Updated evidence of kids being reliant on us still Form 47a as my daughter has turned 18 since the application was sent in Why do I need to re-send police certificates, still have duplicates of the ones I sent last year in June, will they be ok or do they expect me to pay out for new ones at £45 each (6 of us going).
  11. Is it usually the same CO that approved nomination that is allocated for the visa applicant? RSMS 119, low risk
  12. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes between Nomination Approval and Visa Approval? Lodged in Perth, non drc, Child Care Group Leader in Dunsborough, WA. Nomination lodged 7 June 2012 Nomination acknowledged 20 June 2012 Visa Application 21 June 2012 Visa acknowledged 7 July 2012 Nomination Approved 23 February 2013
  13. I was really worried about my dog, (3 yr old black lab) he's a big baby and doesn't like strangers, but all seems to have gone well. We're not out there yet so really missing him, got great family though who have been visiting him in quarantine. I've had lots of photo's which has really helped but still not easy knowing he's there without us. Left Byford quarantine today to stay with my cousin until we arrive, very excitable but the poor little man has Kennel Cough! Earlier this year one of the new stipulations when importing a dog was for them to be protected against Kennel cough, Otis had his innoculation in March yet he still got it, I guess the Australian strain is different to the one here in the UK?!
  14. Hi Ginni, I contacted them about the ehealth list, they'd forgotten to include it in with my ack letter, wasn't the only mistake they'd made either, first off addressed it to my daughter and put the wrong DOB year for my son - doesn't look good!! Anyway all sorted now, we went for our medicals yesterday, so fingers crossed they'll be no more mistakes.
  15. No idea Ginni, it all seems so confusing, so many mixed responses about how and when everything happens.
