  1. Hey guys congratulations and what a great present yor right :) our visa has been granted too, great, we wanted it before other half handed his notice in at work, we got the grant yesterday and he is handing his notice in today :) couldn't have timed this better ! What an awesome way to start Christmas too, i was starting to believe it wasn't going to be granted until after Christmas. Just for the record, we applied on the 19th as stated on the notice of grant to the 6th of December. Good luck to everyone else, we fly in January :) at last the wait for the grant is over, now just the wait for the flights which is fine and will come in no time i'm sure. All the best to everyone xXXx

  2. I am 5 months as well now. Hoping it comes before long. I'm on oz on a tourist visa now and loving aus, but really want to get going with looking for job etc .

Hey mate, good to see your there already, what date was it again that you appied because if i'm not mistaken we applied the same day/week! Are you going to be contacting LG anytime soon? If so how would you word it, it's just i'm unsure of how to put 'THE QUESTION' lol

  3. Hey guys, haven't been on here for a while, been busy preparing for the big move, selling, sorting and saving lol!

By the sounds of things it all seems to be going great for everyone, the grants seem to be coming along nicely, that's what we like to hear, it a matter of weeks now for us t get our grant, it's so exciting hey, well good luck to everyone else, i'l keep you guys updated with our grant, does anyone have a link for the spreadsheet to show us what date we applied please?

  4. We emailed our CO yesterday as we've decided on a flight date. She said she couldn't give any guarantees, but we were now looking at late December/early November, rather than the "sometime between late November and late December" we were originally told, so it looks like it's definitely the 6 month mark rather than the 5 for us. We applied end of June.

We're booking flights for January 20th so hopefully it will be granted by then. We'll email again at the end of November with our flight date to see if she can make sure it's granted by then, otherwise it will be an eVisitor and a trip to NZ for the husband :)

Oh, she confirmed he'll get a subclass 100 visa as well, which is good news!

Mng75 we are in the exact same boat as you! Want email her too, LG is our case officer! We have now booked our flights for the 22nd of Jan because we were told we could as long as we let her know which we have done, we applied end of June and have been told Nov/Dec time! Think an email to confirm the dates are still the same is in order.

  5. Well congratulations Anika, your wait is finally over, it seems to be going pretty steady the wait for ours, seems like only yesterday we spent every minute of every day trying to get our heads around all the evidence etc. Before we all know it we'll be sunning it up :) I'd just let time take it's course, it's not as if the case officer is going to forget about us all if we don't send an email the week before projected grant. All the best Anika and to everyone else too :D

  6. Guys if this helps my case officer emailed me in reply to my several questions last week and told me to go ahead and book the flights and give her the dates once done so she can make sure the visa is granted by that date, by the time we fly it will be 7 months, she estimated the 5-6 month mark and still it hasn't changed, infact how can it change now she has told me and a few others to go ahead and book. People have been getting grants withing 5 months and a couple of days lately, surely it would have been 6 months + if this was the case........

  7. I just replied to her to see if she could give any reason why and explained that we were anxious to get the visa before booking flights etc and that we wanted to leave end Sep. She replied to say we can go ahead and book flights, if I give her the dates, she will make sure my visa is granted on time.

So kind of a good response, at least we know it will be approved, but still going to take a lot longer than expected, especially as everyone seems to be on track for 5 months at the mo, however, someone on here did mention that LG was off on annual leave soon, so maybe that pushes her case load back by a couple of weeks?

Still it makes me feel sketchy as we wanted to have the visa before ending contracts and booking flights, but I guess we will just have to bite the bullet and take the risk!

Hi TheGrahams, i read your post and decided to do the same thing, she had previously told us nothing else was needed and the meds and police checks were fine, that my partner's application will be ready to be finalised in November/December, this was great news but still left a niggling doubt as to whether that was a 100% yes. This was our reason for sending a further email, basically stating our prospective travel dates and wanting to know if we can book the flights or not and she told us to go ahead and book the flights and she will make sure the visa is granted by then :D What a great day this has been, there is our answer as to whether it is a 100% yes or not. Whoooo, next we need to start selling everything :) Then buy the suitcases lol, we will be booking our flights tomorrow for January, then will be updating LG so she knows when we need to leave by, we are very happy with her responses, so fast and efficient too. That always helps i suppose. Good luck with the rest of your wait, have fun booking flights and all the rest :) All grants lately seem to be within 5 months processing time, BRILLIANT STUFF.

  8. I have LG too. Always found her to be really helpful. get your email in quick though....I called her about a week ago and she said that she was taking her annual leave soon!

    x

Hi, LG is my CO too, when you say annual leave how long do you mean? Also how will this afect us applicants, ours isn't due to be granted until Nov/Dec roughly but could the annual leave delay this? Thanks. It's great to see so many people with the same CO as me, will be great to catch up :D

  9. Hey guys,

I'm just gonna give you an update, Meds done on 5th July, Emailed CO yesterday asking whether results have been received and the meds and police checks are passed, she replied saying ' I have received all your documents and can advise nothing further is required from you. Current processing times are around 5 to 6 months so your application will be ready to finalise around November/December.

I then emailed my agent to double check if this meant it was a definite grant or whether to wait until then and it would be looked at again and re-assessed, my agent advised it is a definite grant but to just our turn in the queue. Yeeeeehaaaaa, now it's just a matter of waiting, we are looking at flying around Jan or Feb next year, so it's now just a case o seeling up and booking flights :) Yipppeeeee excited isn't the word lol xXXx

Glad to hear of all the other grants also, so made up for everyone it must be amazing and i can't wait for the day we are at that stage too :D Good luck to everyone else also.

  10. Hey i don't reckon she'll give a specific date but may say book your flights at the end of Aug as by then it will deffo be granted! Glad she has told you that it will be granted by a certain date though as we were wondering once our medicals were done and passed will we be told this too, i'm pressuming with having the same CO we should hear about this. We are with an agent for ours so we will just ask the agent once the meds are processed etc. We don't mind how long we wait we just want to know whether we will get the grant or not. Not too bothered about booking flights as to be perfectly honest the only deadline we have is when my resident return visa expires which will be feb next year so tat's not a problem. I could wait for as long as it took providing we knew all along that it is certain. Good luck by the way and keep us updated on how ur visa goes and LG especially lol.

  11. Hi all

Paperwork sent off 12/06/2012 spouse visa offshore

    CO assigned 20/06/2012

    Meds done 25/06/2012

    Police checks in process

    Exciting :)

    Hey Nik,

Was just wondering who your CO is?

Also we are at roughly the same stage so it's all good. Police checks here ready to send but meds booked for next Thursday?

Can't wait to get our last bit out of the way then it's just a case of waiting after that.

  12. Got various personal stuff back in the post following the application last week . Cards, photos etc. I am having medical this week and hopefully then that's it - will ask the case officer LG when all the info is in, for an estimated date of grant. fingers crossed once they get into their new year from 1 July things will speed up. !

Hey this is great, we are booking the medicals today for my partner and son hopefully for the next couple of weeks hey, our CO is LG so we can keep each other up to date hopefully with anything different we know, that would be great! Let me know once you have contacted her as to what she says, this is what i want to do, Many thanks in advance, Sarah.
