Hi all, ive been here for 2 months now and not getting anywhere with admin jobs ( I was an office manager/PA in the uk) so I'm now looking at restaurants and bars/coffee shops as I have experience in waitressingand restaurant management. Could anyone tell me where the best place in melbourne CBD where I can train to get the RSA & barista certificates? Not working so can't be too expensive! thanks also if anyone has any tips on getting admin work please enlighten me lol

Hi, I am joining my partner in melbourne in September with my 8 year old son. Im looking at enrolling him at either Albert Park primary or Middle Park primary. Just wanted some feed back on those schools and the areas as we will be looking at renting close to the school and CBD. Also i will need to find work (my partner has spnsership with his employer), in the UK im an PA/Office manager/puchasing manager and wanted to know if i should start looking whilst still in the UK or wait until im in OZ? Is it easy to find jobs around school hours also? Any info you can give me will help alot. Thanks

hi all, Need some advice. My partner is already over in OZ as he has been sponsored by his employer so he is covered by medicare but when myself and my son join him we will need private medical insurance until we can apply for medicare. All the companies i have looked at want the sponsors name which isn't needed as my other half doesn't need private cover. Can anyone suggest a company as this is the only thing left i need to send off the visa application. Many Thanks

Hi there, Thanks to some replys i had to my last post i think i just need the 1229 form and a letter from my solicitor to explain that i dont know who my son biological father is so that i can take my son to Oz......if this is incorrect feel free to let me know. Just woundered if anyone could point me to a good solicitor in the berkshire area so i can request a letter from them. Thanks

Hi, I'm new to this forum and i really hope someone can give me some advise. My parner and i are moving to OZ in August next year, he is currently working out there at the moment and has been offered a sponsership ( i think that will give me enough time to get things organised lol) The only question i have is my parnter isn't my sons biological father and to be honest i don't know who is my sons father as he was a result of a drunken one night stand :-(. So therefor there is no name on the birth certificate and no court order so would i need to get permission from the court to take my son to OZ? My son is 7 now and refers to my partner as dad. I have looked on the forums and all i can find is that you need a court order if the father is not giving permission??? Any help would be great!! Thanks
