  1. looking forward to any answers you get as I will need this info too in the future. I never received mine due to leaving the address I was working at and leaving Australia shortly after :'( did you have a tfn? This I did receive but after 4 house moves it seems to be gone for good now! good luck x
  2. Well this answers my question Which occupation list should I refer to? International Graduates who have recently graduated (within the past*12 months) from an Australian Education institution should refer to the*State Nomination*Occupation List for Graduates. All other applicants should refer to the State*Nomination Occupation List for Victoria. See the*Occupation Lists*page.*In addition to the general minimum eligibility requirements, applicants must meet any specific requirements indicated for their nominated occupation. If something looks to good to be true and all that! ! Luckily I havn't changed my original plan, which does allow for savings and a well thought out way of starting my application so it's not all bad!! The question does still stand though as there is only a 2yr requirement for post grad work experience. I will check (again) the conditions for skills assessment but if 2yrs is ok and by some strike of luck i score 8s I would like to apply after 2yrs if this wont be a stumbling block on the EOI??
  3. I'll be doing podiatry. I will re read and check that isnt a stipulation. Oh and its victoria which I love from past travels there have recently been jobs dotted around bendigo, ballarat, geelong, echuca, and of course melbourne! Always good to see that there are plenty of practices about :-) Immigration isn't my reason to study but has clicked in very nicely with my desire to do so x Off to re read the conditions of the list...
  4. Hi guys I won't lie, I am in the earliest stages of planning but have spent the last 2 years trying to get a place at uni which is now all set for this September so the ball is rolling xx My question is this (and trust me I know things may change) if you dont score points in every section (excluding australian education and work) but still get 60 points does it matter? The reason for asking is I have somehow come across 1 state who have a separate eligible skills list (for 190) for new graduates. I have read it 100 times in the last week and it states that as a recent graduate in my profession, as long as you meet the DIACs requirements, and have both positive skills test and 7s on IELTS you qualify for state sponsorship with no work experience. I've never seen this or heard about it before but it's on the States website underneath the standard eligible skills list for that state.I'm just thinking it must be too simple for this to be true, and perhaps you MUST meet minimum work experience, which in the EOI would be 3 yrs?? My points (in my own fantasy dream land) will be: Age 35 - 25pts Education Batchelors Degree - 15pts IELTS 8s - 20pts (remember the words dream and fantasy) State Sponsorship - 5pts (necessary as this is the only state with the graduate skills list) So to apply upon completion of my degree I would have more than enough points. No doubt it will take me 3yrs to get 8s in IELTS but if thats the case I will still qualify with 60 points after 3yrs work exp even with 7s so all is not lost xx Any comments on the question or anything else much appreciated. I want as much to be planned out in theory so there are less surprises further down the line. I already have finance worries and a medical issue, yet alone a degree to complete so some peace of mind on this matter would be delightful xx
  5. Just wanted to throw something else out there for you, I think I read you are looking at Perth but Victoria have a seperate skills list good enough for a190 (sponsored permanent residency) for graduates which seems to eliminate the need for work experience, assuming you have all the other stuff in order? I've never heard mention of it before but came across it on Victorias website. I could be reading it wrong but might be worth investigating depending on your circumstances xx
  6. I've received an offer from Huddersfield uni to start podiatry this September. I'm 31 now and have a 6 year plan whereby at the end of year 6 I will be on my way :-) This isn't the only reason for choosing podiatry, it all just kind of pieced itself together at the right time (well, maybe 10 years late lol). I cannot wait to help people, and to be a part of their day, and finally get our of accounts payable offices!! Hoping to be on my plane with a one way ticket in 2019, about September x might start a blog to see how it pans out xx Good luck everyone x
  7. That's uncanny - I have only recently changed my usernames from Shelley666 or shell666, even now I'm not sure why I changed, but my story was exactly the same as yours!! Congrats anyway, I'm a bit if a lurker but your news did make me smile!!
