  1. I have similar situation. I applied last week and going back home this Sunday.

I can either apply for bridging visa B (and pay more than 100) or just do nothing.

Since Im coming back in December I believe that my case is solved by then. And if not, the EU passport allows me to stay 3 months here anyway. So by that time the visa should had been granted at least...

Can you come and go as you want or do you need a tourist visa? The bridging visa is quite easy...you probably got the A when you lodged your application by mail?

Mate I would get a definite answer from DIAC/Immi on this in your situation.

The reason I ask this is that when you lodge Visa applications , somewhere in the form it states you need to notify Immigration of your travel (and of course hold a visa to return).

My question lie's more along the lines of :

    1. Can you apply onshore

    2. Then leave permanently till such time the approval comes through with no impact to the processing of the visa.

Reason being on your application you state current address, employment etc as being in Australia and leaving technically means "change of circumstances"

  2. These criteria and document requirements for Skills Assessment are often different to DIAC visa requirements.

Most definitely. Skills Assessment scrutiny is a different matter all together.

Be mindful that if claiming employment experience for points, the employment experience must be at the appropriate skill level, in most cases this means post qualification.

As I see it there is no points requirement for the ENS186 but simply the need to demonstrate "3 years - employment experience at the appropriate skill level, in most cases post qualification."

Thanks Raul!!! I am going to bite the bullet and submit the skills assessment with just the latest work-ex history I've got to speed things up. DIAC can recieve the whole shebang (I earlier submitted this for my 457 and I reckon it was sufficient as I received my 457 in under 10 days:) ).

    cheers

  3. Hi bonza2211,

    1. I dont understand what you mean, but DIAC is the party to make the final decision.

    Agreed!

2.depending on what you stated in your submission(but at least 3 yrs) as long as enough evidence to surport

3 years work experience requirement is from DIAC. For this I will submit :

    --Appointment letter

    --Exit letter

    --Recommendation letter from employer (verification)

    --Copy of contract (if available)

The above is all overseas work-ex.

3.you will be asked supportive evidence like employ contracts, recommendation letters with details contacts etc....

For VETASSESS I need only 1 year relevant work experience highly relevant to my area of study.I have :

--Master of Marketing from University of Sydney

--19 months Australian work-ex as a Marketing consultant

So what Im getting at is I dont want to submit my overseas work-ex to VETASSESS(for faster processing) but I will submit enough for my Positive assessment.

I will submit the overseas work-ex only to DIAC to fulfill the 3 year rule.

Does that seem ok? As it doesnt explicitly state anywhere that DIAC will only consider work-ex if assessed by VETASSESS.

For example for my 457 visa I submitted all my work-ex without an assessment.

but if you apply through Skill Assessment, that gonna be a different story.

    What do you mean?

  4. Hi Guys,

    Some feedback please?

    For your ENS186 (direct entry)

    1. Who was the assessing authority?

    2. How many years of your work-ex was assessed by the authority?

    3. In relation to #2 for the 3 years work-ex requirement for DIAC, does that have to be assessed or you can submit the original employment letters regardless of whether it was assessed or not?

    Thanks

    Bonza

  5. It is very clear

Onshore - Medicals / PCC needs to be lodged at the time of the application (upfront)

Offshore - Proof of having applied for PCC can suffice until further requested.

If you have your TRN from the nomination stage you can proceed to apply for the medicals, similar to what happens for your 457.

  6. Hi guys , today got the nomination approved and just applied for the visa

    Thanks guys and good luck

Turned out like i said! Keep us posted with the updates!

  7. Hi guys just wondering how long will it take my nomination to be approved I applied for it 6 th of sep thanks guys

How long is a piece of string :)

Give us a few more details, even there it is a GUESSTIMATE

    1. Is it a DRC application ?

    2. Did you submit your nomination + visa application together?

    3. Please confirm 186 Direct Entry or Transition ?

    4. Which office did you apply? (Parramatta etc)

Regarding the visa process (not nomination) :

Current time frames being reported for DRC is approximately 16 weeks for CO allocation + 2 weeks for approval.

    There was a post here : http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/145008-drc-rsms-ens-timeline-51.html#post1935977130

Applied 29/6 under DRC Employer Nomination had was approved in 13 weeks.

  8. DRC is still a priority and expected to take 10-12 weeks instead of 8 weeks as mentioned. The above dates are for NON-DRC applications.

Thank you. There was a mention on another thread that DRC is now taking 12 weeks for CO allocation and further 1-2 weeks for approval.

Just got to stay positive! Not much else we can do :)

  9. You can lodge the Visa application as long as the nomination has been lodged.

You cannot however, lodge a Decision Ready Visa application if the Nomination is not approved.

    Cheers mate.

Can a nomination be lodged + approved and then a DRC visa application submitted subsequently.

i.e. No mandate that nomination+visa application needs to be all lodged together for DRC?

Also what is the maximum timeframe between submitted/approved nomination and when an individual can lodge their visa application?

MA advised today after speaking to DIAC that Decision Ready applications are taking 10-12 weeks to be allocated a CO, then 1-2 weeks to be finalised.

A bit gutted, as this is just outside the time frame we need.

Thats a bit of a let down but atleast we have some timeframes. Good luck maybe you will be one of those random, instant approvals :)

  10. Nomination Ack letter received today. Nom was submitted 3 August. The letter states that a case officer has been allocated and our application is progressing. No reference to timelines.

We haven't submitted our visa app yet, waiting for nom approval first.

    Things are moving....very pleased!!

    Great news!

Is there a reason you are awaiting approval? I was under the impression once you have the TRN# for the nomination you can apply?

    Good luck!

    Bonza
