once KA has completed assessment of application she forwards the file to senior case officer who in turn grant the visa...judging from the grant letter i got the senior CO are in immi dept in Aus...once they approve/grant visa you will get request for ur passport

yep from the looks of it sydney and melb seem to have a much larger paki community then perth

Yes i wud write myself and politely enquire abt progress of case...didnt get any reply mind you nopes i called just once to ask when i wud be requested for medical. As for pcc ud have to write to immi and ask or call AHC i have no clue abt tht so dont want to misguide you

Yes the date pcc was made i had sent mine with application and yes they do want a valid pcc before issuing visa...so get one made as soon as possible and send it to karima otherwise they will delay ur application again

Expansion of Label-Free TravelFrom 1 October 2012, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Mongolia and Nepal have been included in the list of countries that will be able to travel to Australia without a visa label in their passport. This is known as 'label-free' travel, making travel to Australia simpler and more secure. Label-free travel means people travelling to Australia will not require an Australian visa label as evidence of the grant of an Australia visa. Instead they will receive a grant letter that clearly explains the conditions of their visa. A visa label is not required as Australia's electronic system enables visa status to be confirmed electronically. Note: Each person travelling to Australia will still need to apply for and be granted an appropriate Australian visa before travelling to Australia. i wonder when they will include pakistan in this list.

No no dont be disheartened...see my medical came super late after everyone....but visa granted withing one week after medical...so dont lose hope

Thank you Aqsa....not to worry urs is also on its way.....IA im sure they are just waiting to clear current lot of passports and then new requests will be sent and you never know u might get ur passport returned complete with Visa lable next week

Thank you guys ...over the moon :biggrin: InshALLah everyone getting visa....they are overloaded with passport these days i think when they are done with the big pile most of mar-april will get passport requests.

Nopes i got email 2 weeks ago askng for passport....they dont mention if they are giving visa or not......it came in the postmail today with grant letter and label.
