  1. Hi all, My wife was the main visa applicant. We've now validated our visas, so my question is:- Can I go to perth & work while the wife stays in UK for a few months with the kids until time is right for them to all come over? Cheers lee
  2. Hi, Need to book car hire for 8 days, is it best just booking from airport (pre-book before getting there), or can you pick them up much cheaper elsewhere. Can get my aunt to pick us up, who's from Riverton (sor) not too far from airport I believe. Any ideas anyone thanks lee
  3. Thanks for your quick responses, Will not be drinking too much tho due to picking hire car up at airport but the wife might. lol
  4. Hi Will be flying with Emirates to Perth in 3 weeks, we are travelling economy class. What drink, if any do you get for free as part of the flight? Have been told only some are free, with your food, then again been told drinks are free throughout the flights. Or is it that all drinks need paying for? Thanks Lee
  5. Hi, Regarding pre-employment medical checks, wether it be in the mining industry or local employers, do they get in touch with your UK GP's or your UK employers for your medical history before taking you on?? Anyone had any experiences of this happening?, or isn't it the norm. thanks

  7. Hi, Myself & wife are validating our visas in March, whilst there i would like to do some scuba diving (advanced open water certified), & was wondering what the diving is like at this time of year? Whats the best sites to visit & what am i likely to be seeing whilst on a dive I know theres been a few shark attacks etc over the last couple of years, has this put many people off diving around perth (Rottnest Island) or other areas? Finally, can anyone recommend a good dive club to go to, to do a dive and how much ££££ are we talking for a days dive with all equipment included? Just like to add, we will be stayin in Riverton (sor) mainly with an aunt & Kinross (nor) a couple of days with a friend hopefully. Thanks in advance for any replies, Lee p.s. how much is a daytrip over to Rottnest Island?
  8. Hi Al, Looking at validating our visas at Easter, but not sure where & when the big move as yet. Hoping for myself to go out first & save abit up before the family come over, very early stages yet. Ive a mate who lives nor & he may have some work for me to go to but at the mo too early to say. As for impatient, I found the closer We got the more impatient I became, must be the norm. Don't think it should be that long so long as medicals & bloods are ok, funny enough I got an e-mail yesterday from medical centre saying that they had just sent results to oz which were all ok, yet got our visas last Friday???? Not be long I'm sure Lee
  9. Concept Australia did it for us, they've got offices based in a few locations but we used the Manchester one. Couldn't fault them one bit, got our 190 pr visa in 10 months and we took our time. Cost was, I thought very good also, £1500 in 5 installments. Would definitely recommend.
  10. Hi, We did our medicals on the 25 jan, and got our visa 1 week later (Friday), we were going for 190 pr visa (5 of us) Guess for us, no delays whatsoever. Hope you get yours soon Lee

    Medicals

Hi, you generally have to wait for a case officer to be assigned and they will notify you to get medicals done, same time as Pcc checks. Not sure about 143 visa but I'd have thought most visa applications require medicals near to the end of the process (ours did 190 pr visa)
  12. Hi, Like some others have stated, Concept Australia have been quality from the start & quite cheap compared to others, also we've been paying in installments (5 off) which has helped. Our initial consultation was free & we are now waiting for medical results next week before having to pay our final £300 installment hopefully when the visa has been granted (190 pr visa)
  13. Hi, Did our medicals on Friday in Birmingham, theres no need to fast. Was quite surprised how little they check. PM me if anyone wants details of medical, Im not sure if "high risk" medicals are different so can only comment on our standard & kids medicals lee
  14. HR will generally on these threads mean "High Risk", relating to the countries or nationalities people are applying from. HR can also mean "human Resources" relating to employment positions.
  15. Hi, As the title says, except to say the wife is the main applicant, but will I be able to go out & work 1st after we've been & validated our visas? i'm telling her I can but the wife's not sure. Anyone with a quickie answer to put the question to bed, it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Lee
