Try the eastern suburbs, the people are a lot more friendlier than the south eastern suburbs. I used to live in Noble park and found it very scary and people were really very unfriendly . The moved to eastern suburbs changed my life. Don't even have to put kids into catholic schools. 85% of public schools are really good. Try from rowville (Ferntree gully(certain parts), wantirna, vermont, glen waverley, wheeler hills, blackburn, mitcham etc etc) . I wanted my son to go to a good catholic school, changed my mind when I saw this public school and I don't regret my decision. The crime rate is also very less. I can recommend so good church also( its not catholic ), I just love the church I go attend. Its just amazing. Its a family oriented church, has so many activities for adults and kids. My kids just love going there. Hope I was helpful.
