Well done on nearly getting bk to oz.
What visa are you all going bk on? I'm currently waiting for my sons 101 visa. Looking for some loopholes on getting bk aswell.

We are back. Been back here over a year now - it was just the house in the UK that was the issue.
I'm an Aus citizen and my wife has PR, so getting back was pretty straightforward for us.
You've posted that you and your partner have PR, so getting a 600 with a travel exemption for your son would seem like a realistic possibility. There are a couple of migration agents on the forum, so if I was you I'd contact one of them - they will surely know if any 'loopholes' exist!
