  1. Hi guys, just to update, it came through with 90mins to spare as I was travelling to the airport!! Cutting it fine. was able to attach it to my emergency passport for anytime that’s ever in that predicament. Cheers
  2. Hi Guys, I have a bit of a situation. I have been a permanent resident living in Australia for the past 5 years. I have recently returned home for a wedding and was told at the border that I don't have a visa to return and would need to obtain an RRV. (I totally mis-understood the terms and never thought of it before leaving) I applied a couple of weeks ago on my return to the UK and I am due to fly out to Australia tomorrow through Qatar and onto Melbourne but my RRV has not yet been approved. To complicate matters further, I realised Id lost my passport just prior to leaving Australia and had to obtain an emergency passport from the British Consulate in Melbourne the day before I left. I phoned the department last week and the lady said she can see I meet the requirements and that some was looking at my application and that I would receive an email that day which never happened. I then phoned again last night and another lady spoke with processing department who said they would not fast-track any applications etc. (Fair Enough). She indicated (vaguely) that there may be a request for documentation but wasn't specific and said she could not advise me what to do with regards attempting to travel. MY EMERGENCY PASSPORT ONLY ALLOWS THIS RETURN TRIP WHICH LEAVES ME IN LIMBO WITH REAGRDS TRAVEL MOVEMENTS. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN ANOTHER PASSPORT WHILE HERE BUT I LEFT AUSTRALIA ON THE EMERGENCY ONE AND DIDNT WANT TO COMPLICATE THINGS FURTHER. I AM DUE BACK AT WORK THIS COMING MONDAY AND IT IS IMPERITIVE THAT I AM THERE DUE TO VARIOUS REASONS. My questions are: Due to the complications with different passport numbers, should I submit a change of circumstances form? Could this be what she indicated to? If I attempted to board the first leg of my flight, would I be allowed? Would I then be allowed through Qatar? If so, what would be the likely scenario at the Australian border? Is there a possibility I could be stuck with no ability to go anywhere due to this temporary passport restriction? Sorry for the long post but as you can see, this is a very tricky situation for me. Thank you kindly in advance of any advice Cheers
  3. Thanks for that. another quick question. on the question where it asks "have any of the applicants lived in a country for more than 12 months cumulatively in the past 10 years" do we need to put in our home country where we obviously lived and also, do we put down Australia as my partner has been here 2 years. Seems pretty obvious that these two are taken into consideration but just checking. cheers
  4. Hi guys, we are in the final stages of preparing to lodge our online partner application. I would just like some clarification on something if anyone knows. in relationship status, it asks: status - de facto ..........but then asks when relationship began. Is this the date the de facto relationship began or when we met? The wording of some of these questions is quite confusing. also, it asks for the date the applicant and sponsor committed to a shared life together to the exclusion of all others. - I cannot remember having this exact talk with my partner on a certain date lol should this be when we began living together or became a committed relationship?? thanks in advance
  5. Hi guys, thanks so much for you help so far. Can anyone tell me if we both have to send in all our full bank statements? I had intended to send my payment summaries from last year and this year to show I can support us both? I was also going to send just some of the relevant statements where we can show for example: alternate grocery buying, transfers to and from accounts and other transactions relating to our relationship. I am reluctant for us both to send in all statements over a year and a half. Surely privacy and not wanting personal bank account numbers etc falling into the wrong hands is a concern?? thanks
  6. Hi everyone, we are in the process of doing our partner visa ourselves. We have left it quite late and are under a bit of pressure. we have a few questions we are not too sure about. 1. In the previous relationships questions, do we really enter all previous relationships, even though they were not marriage, engagements or de-facto? 2. Do all documents/declarations have to be certified? A little confused on this. 3. Has anyone any ideas on how in depth we go with statements? 4. We have a couple of wedding invitations but they are not in a stamped envelope so don't know if there is any point including them. we have about 6 weeks to complete the application so if anyone has any advice or help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot....
  7. :confused:Partner Visa Help! Hi everyone, we are applying for an onshore partner visa soon. My partner has been on her 2nd WHV which is coming to an end at the end of the year. She has had to leave her latest job as she can only work 6 months, however, while compiling all info and bank statements, it seems to me that she has worked a month longer than 6 months as she had her dates wrong it seems and employer was also of the opinion she was within this timeframe. would this affect our partner visa application in any way? Quite stressed now after all the planning..... thanks in advance
  8. Hi Everyone, I got permanent residency in March and left to go to OZ in April. My position and rcb was in Queensland, however in the meantime a position in WA came up where the company really needed my skills. The HR department are sorting the switch with immigration and have asked me for a "letter of Intention".............I submitted a brief statement of my intention to continue my career and build a life for myself and my partner in WA etc etc......I have been asked to expand on this by our HR department, has anyone any idea the sort of thing I should be putting in the letter??? Cheers

  13. Hi, I have finally been instructed to do my medical for my rsms 119. Just a few questions and concerns I have: Do I have to know my whole medical history inside out?? I am 35 and have had many broken bones and accidents in my life but I am in good health and have no lasting injuries from anything. I once was told that my cholesterol was a bit high, would this pose any problem? Thanks
