  3. Currently at aged 2 years&7months old our daughter attends private school in Bangkok and has done for 6 months. Monday to Fridays we drop her off at school at: 8.30am for the 1st 30 minutes all the kids in the school do dancing & singing together outside their classrooms(Lovely to see) 9.00am they go into classroom learning. 11.30am dinner time 12pm sleep 2pm playing together till 3pm when we pick her up. Thats optional as the school is open 8am till 5pm. Our daughter loves the school & so do we, she's learning a lot in two languages and will stay at that school until November 2014 MAYBE early 2015. All we are thinking is that if we decided to move to Perth we feel like she'd be taking a step back?? If only day care was available until part time kindergarten February 2016 Thoughts welcome Thanks
  4. Hi Our daughter is 2years & 7 months old now, she currently attends a small private school in Bangkok 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday, which she absolutely loves. She started there just after her second birthday! She currently hold 12 month visitor visa(3 month study) for Australia but processing her PR visas which is the visa that I hold!! When we move to Perth full time next year, our daughter will still be 3 years old & i can't believe Year 1 in Perth for her is something like Jan 2018 WOOW!!! Pre school January 2017... And part time 15 hours a week kindergarten January 2016! 100% I would like her in full time education when we arrive. Can someone advise with options? Is private school in Perth our only option? Prices? Recommendations? I'm looking at buying a place either in Secret Harbour, Baldivis or maybe Rockingham, WA!! THANKS
  5. Hi Sorry I've been offline for a while, 12 hours at work & been overseas doesn't help! All advice has been welcomed THANKS! So visas obtained quite easily, and both heading here in 3 weeks time. House with pool sorted. Due to the short visit & having house with pool we are looking forward to relaxing together & try not to do too much. Cavernsham wildlife park, Perth Zoo, Neil Hawkings Park(Close to the house), Hillary's children's beach & AQWA, and Penguin Island will all be done. Kind of day on day off chilling in home. One day might be spent looking at houses. But otherwise kangaroos are the top priority of our family holiday. Will let you know our thoughts & opinions next month after our trip
  6. Thanks I'll google Chipmunks play centre & pleased to read about the shade sails :-)
  7. Hey girls & guys My partner & daughter (2 year 7 months) hopefully will be landing in Perth for a week next month for a short holiday! Can anyone suggest the must see's & do's of Perth for a small child? We be hiring a car from airport & staying NOR. So far we are contemplating on days out at: Perth Zoo, Kings Park & Hillary's Children's Beach(Aqua too). Maybe Rottnest Island or Penguin Island? Whitemans Park? Or is it called Cavernsham wildlife park? Can anyone please suggest something that we really shouldn't miss out on doing while we are in WA? Thanks :-) Is there any good child friendly restaurants/bars NOR around Joondalup where we can sit outside while my daughter runs around and plays? What about a Ball house with bouncy castle? She loves things like that! Cheers :-)
  8. We've been looking at established but can't seen to find one we like under $600,000 most we do like are $700,000+ which is ridiculous! Building one for under $500,000 would be great but it could be too frustrating like you say! I'm rarely in Town too as I work FIFO so would be difficult to keep an eye on them!
  9. Bloody good read BB Very good to know, are these turn key ready homes or the special packages Good marketing ploys / farces too?
  10. Thanks for your comments :-D The house design we like is called The Southport and is - $216,990 to build. So what you guys are saying is to budget for $285,000 to build similar to say there display home?
  11. As a 1st time home buyer & builder I was wondering about things that you've picked up & learnt. Things that you'd wish you'd done, done later or would do next time! I'm an absolute novice, but looking into doing a land & house package around Baldivis , Singleton or Secret Harbour in WA. I've been asking people lots of questions & now I'd like to ask you Better quality lawn next time? Fully tiled in all wet areas? Spa instead of pool? Granite kitchen top? Bigger cooker & oven? Walk in wardrobe in 2nd bedroom? Concrete drive? I'd deffinately want low maintainents! More lights in kitchen? More sockets in cinema room? His & hers sinks? No corner plot as your expected to maintain! Just wondering Thanks
