  1. Does anyone know which channels are covering the World Cup and more specifically the England games?
  2. Does anyone know any good Barbers in and around the Perth area or specifically near Ridgewood? I used to pay $20 in Sydney for a good cut in decent Barbers but in Perth it seems the going rate is $30, which personally I think is over priced and another 'let's jump on the WA bandwagon prices'.
  3. Correct. As long as it's decent I can live with paying just $1 more and 50c more than I paid in an exclusive café in Sydney.
  4. Just found a great coffee place called 'Jean Pierre Sancho' on Hay Street. Really nice top quality coffee, it's $4 for a regular but coffee this good I don't mind paying ?
  5. Yes you are missing something, the whole point of this topic. It's not about whether they can fit the parcel into the postbox. I think some of you on here haven't experienced what the rest if us have but when your expecting a delivery of a parcel and your left with the inconvenience of going to the Australia Post shop depo to collect, knowing that you were in the house to receive it it's very frustrating. When I first arrived in Sydney I experienced this, expecting a microwave to be delivered and was in all day just to receive a card saying they attempted delivery. The added in convenience here was the fact I didn't have a car, I lived in Neutral Bay and the nearest collection point was St.Leonards I had to ask a friend to drive me to the collection point which was a 20min drive, imagine if I didn't have a car? When I collected the parcel I asked the person why the postie didn't deliver and she told me that it was probably a contractor and they do this all the time. All I could do was file a complaint not that it come to anything. Now, admittedly the post box in Sydney was at the top of a driveway and I lived in a block of 4 flats on the 1st floor. So this, I thought may of been the reason but when I was told this happens all the time and there was nothing they can do I was shocked. Here in Perth, I live in a house, very accessible post box and the distance from the post box to the door is approximately 5 metres. I was surprised to see that the undeliverable cards continued.
  6. It's nothing to do with getting your post a particular time, it's actually getting it at all! The issue here is the post service doing there job, i.e. to deliver post.
  7. Paul1Perth, this is music to my ears! Obviously I'm yet to try it and with the loyalty card sounds exactly what I used to get in Sydney with Organika, I think Taste Baguette we're doing the same. Just proves there are establishments in Perth willing to charge a reasonable rate.
  8. $9 is a complete 'take the biscuit', wouldn't get my custom even if they were the last place selling coffee in Perth, that's just damn right greedy
  9. If you honestly think this is an excellent service then you must have some incredibly low standards either that or have been blinded by what 'you' think is a good service.
  10. This has nothing to do with abusing people, it's about a service that we all pay for regardless of any country you live in.
  11. Regardless of some on here saying about walking to the letter box at the end of the drive, that is not the point here, the point here is the Australian Post service and how appalling it is, fact.
  12. I can't wait to catch one doing it, but unfortunately I'm always at work when they get delivered or should I say not delivered!
  13. I agree with you. I think it's the competition here. When I first arrived in Sydney and took my daily walk to work down York st, wynyard to George I couldn't believe how much the Australians loved their coffee, literally all queuing up outside cafés to get their morning caffeine fix, obsessed! I thought, but now I know why, they do know how to make good coffee, well most. And yes you do become a bit of a coffee snob, realising if you're flat white hasn't been made to perfection then it's the cafe or the barista or both that get scrubbed off the list!
  14. Hmmm still confused as to where you've been going, maybe towards westfield end? I was around central station, pitt street and all but a few $3. You need to look around a bit more, try Organika on Pitt, near Central St. Lovely Columbian coffee and yes $3
  15. Yes but at least you get a decent coffee, depending on how good the barrister is of course.
  16. It would take them as long as it takes, so your saying that this acceptable? Not sure what level of expectation you are after but if I'm paying for a post service I expect exactly that, someone that delivers the post that you have paid for.
  17. Has anyone had issues with Australian Post? This has happened almost every time I've expected a delivery where a card gets put in the post box outside even though there is someone currently in the property. I mean don't these guys even bother to knock or is this asking too much? And I'm not taking about anything big being delivered just a bit bigger then the actual post box. I think it's a bit cheeky to put a card in the post box saying I have a parcel when they haven't actually attempted delivery. Unless of course I'm missing something and it's different here, I don't know but shouldn't the postie actually knock on the door to see if anyone is at home first?
  18. At last someone that shares the same, glad to see I'm not the only one! Agreed, the point I was trying to make, some establishments charge over the priced coffee and can't even make it properly! $4.50 and a crap coffee, come on!
  19. This was in Sydney CBD, always $3 unless, like I said in more of the exclusive cafés
  20. This is very true, since coming to OZ I have noticed the coffee is a lot better, so I should really stop complaining I guess!
  21. So the general consensus is it's just me that has an issue with coffee prices! Something I guess I'll just have to get used to or stop drinking it!
