going into month 6 now still no news. would be nice if i could finally sort things out instead of sitting in limbo!
-
wish i could sort my life out still waiting. at the moment everything's on hold while i wait in limbo. everything takes sooo long like dealing with people on spanish time. manana manana!

BLB
Im in the same situation where parramatta has all my paper work. How long you been waiting?

could be interesting for me i have a government job and im the only one that does what i do. its not like someone can do the job while im not allowed to work and my bridging visa runs out in the busiest time of year. If this were to happen the whole building could potentially stop or stuff could get cancelled. I cant even take a annual leave off when i want due to lack of people being able to do what i do hence the sponsorship
will find out soon enough!
good luck BLB

Hi Everyone,
I have been following this thread now for the last 5 months. I lodged my 857 application at Parramatta and received confirmation on the 6th of Sept.
As I am on a bridging visa I am still on the conditions of my old visa - 6 months work restriction - so I sent a form to immingration asking to waiver this. They replied saying I would have to prove financial hardship. Does anyone know what is classed as financial hardship?
I could easily work from home and just work for no pay although my partner and I live 3 hours apart now so I am still paying rent on my own. I am so worried that i am going to lose my job if I have to take too much time of unpaid leave.... I have sent off all the necessary medicals and police checks so I hope that when they get to my application I won't be asked for too much extra information.
My application has been certified by the Regional Certifying Body, how normal is it for applications to not be approved?
Any words of encouragement would be great...need to eliminate stress....
Thanks in advance
i could be in the same situation but my work would really struggle with out me could this be a reason for them to wave it.

so frustrating! took weeks to move 3 days! how come perth is so quick cant they take some of the others work load?
-
you can apply for 857 which is basically the same but onshore for regional
-
What visa are you applying for tandcmum? ive been waiting nearly 2 months already and i havent heard anything apart form notification they have received my application
-
thanks for that makes me feel better that i might get a CO within a reasonable amount of time im onshore already working at my government job and they already have my police checks medicals and government sponsorship paperwork.

Depends on what you are after really, do you want the beach, city or country side? i would choose a suburb that you easily walk to the tram or train. I live by the beach on the Frankston line which takes around 45 mins to an hour to get to finders street and is right on the beach, cafes, supermarkets, massive safe park ect you should easily afford a decent rental home in your budget. Example of what you can get in my suburb for you budget, you could probably afford to move a little closer to the city.
