Great post and particularly regarding the comparison mindset. I didn't realise that I was doing just that until my mum came over and was doing it too. I realised then that for the previous 2 years I must have been boring the pants off every Aussie I spoke to about the differences. Now I couldn't be happier. The things I love about Oz and Canberra far outweigh the things I miss in London. I'm looking forward to returning to the UK for a holiday one day and I bet when I do go back I'll be saying "in Australia we have this...". :-)

We used PSS when we moved from London to Canberra. We only had 5 boxes of stuff and it only cost around GBP230 for a door to door service + AUD80 for customs inspection. It took about 3 months for them to arrive which was ok. By the time they arrived we thought "what the hell did we bring this load of junk for?" and we still haven't even unboxed anything yet. New start in Oz and new stuff, yay! PSS were really good for us and would recommend them. Z

I'd like to come along too if I'm not working that day. I arrived here from London in December with my Canberran fiancee and am still settling in, would be good to meet some new friends who are in the same boat as me.
