It's a possibility - might see how bad the weather actually is in the morning. I can't believe it was so nice yesterday and they're predicting 11 degrees tomorrow! Friends of mine have said the show is great - just very expensive - take a packed lunch!

So, it's the big AFL weekend in Melbourne this weekend. This is my first experience of it and need some information please! I lived in Manchester for many years and on a derby day we locked the doors, got supplies in and did not venture out until it was over! We have a 15 month old and are trying to decide what to do at the weekend - the weather looks crap so our normal outdoors type stuff is not on the cards - would heading into the city or to the zoo be completely mad? Does the traffic build up and make it impossible to get anywhere? Thanks in advance!

Mullso had a dog (as did we) which makes it muh harder, but if you don't have pets then the process is much easier as you have far more choice.

I resigned from my job before having my little one as I knew that I wanted to stay at home with her and so got SMP. We then moved over to Melbourne and I continued to receive the last couple of months of it whilst I was over here.

We were given one by my husband's company and to be honest, she was bloody useless. When we got here we were in an apartment which gave us a couple of weeks to look around different areas and decide which ones were the best for us. I did so much reserach before coming out here but still found some places completely different to what I had expected. I would strongly recommend spending some of that $2500 on a short term rental and hire car and going to the inspections yourself. I ended up giving our agent a list of houses that we wanted to see and all she did was drive us there! I'm sure there are some really good agents out there but if you are going to sign a rental contract for 12 months then I would look at the properties and the areas myself - what is fine for some person wouldn't be for another.

I miss good old cod! I have bought lots of different fish since being here and really like whiting which comes crumbed like cod and haddock. It isn't very strong tasting unlike much of the white fish I've tried so far. You can buy it in packets - there is usually a section in both the frozen and fridge areas. Flake is also nice.
