Whoooop....whoooop.... VISA GRANT for me today!!!! my timeline is bellow if I can be added to the spreadsheet I would be most grateful. IELTS 3: 24.09.2011: 8, 9, 7, 7 Vetassess + 8.02.12 + points letter Applied for ACT SS on 15.03.2012.... got it in june 176 lodged 25.06.2012 meds done 09.07.2012 (frontloaded)....referred from 11/16.07.2012...finalised 20.08.2012 CO 20.07.2012 GRANT 22.08.2012

it has taken us to get finalised: 40 days for my daughter and 35 days for me and my wife... of course from the referral date

Later update: got through the answerphone and spoke to a very nice lady from the hoc... she said my meds will be looked after soon... thanks the Lord... fingers crossed... goin' insane

Just me around getting the HOC answerphone 2 times now... an hour ago and 22 min ago... I'll try again in about 38 min... woke up at 4:48 am and couldn't go to sleep any more despite the barbeque/beer party yesterday.... habe been referred since stone age...37 days now... come on moc of the hoc, let me sleep again...

In addition you could prepare a comparative table with the anzsco task descriptors and the tasks in your letter of recommendation - highlighting how well they match... I did that and was successful.... In your letter be sure to use a decent tone, don't argue with them but be very serious. You could also check on seek.com.au job descriptions of hotels managers that match with your tasks in the letter and then print them on paper and send them along with the very nice and firm letter you will write Best of luck PS: Be sure not to forget to check for reassessment of the qualification - you could explain that in your letter and send relevant explanatory documents (official) and also make sureyou check (and pay) for reassessment of work experience in the pints test advisory letter

Would you check your app status to see if the line 'application being processed further' was added after processing commenced and application received..... also what state did sponsor you?

i,m really sorry to hear you had problems with the assessment letter. would you please detail what mistakes they made, i have a few little mistakes myself and wife in our assessment letters. for me they have omitted a 1 from the anzsco code and have put an extramonth for one of the jobs, for instance..... thank you i,m so impatiet now....

@aduffield76 You will have to apply as fast as you can for 176 under the current system as your sponsorship is only valid for 176, if you don't apply until 1 July it will be lost. Applying now before 1 July means your visa will be processed outside Skillselect and under current test points of 65 and under current regulations. Also, after 1 July your occupation might not be on the list of your state and your lost sponsorship for 176 won't be renewed as the occupation is no longer on the list. Furthermore, if you want to apply for 190 with sponsorship after 1 July you have to register first in Skillselect submitting an EOI and selecting the preferred state, then apply again for sponsorship if your occupation is on the list and the answer (the sponsorship grant) will be that they nominate you for a visa invitation in skillselect. Only after that you will be able to apply Best of luck!

Thank you, so I understand you have another trade/occupation that was not assessed by vetassess. Did vetassess asked for a recommendation from your assessing body in order to proceed with the qualifications assessment? And also, if it's not to much if I ask, have they acknowledged receiving the application immediately after actually receiving it? For instance, in my case I've sent the docs with UPS and they reached them on 19th of Sep. but they acknowledged the receipt of docs only on 4th of Oct.

Hi there, just checked my vetassess acount today and they changed the date for "Aplication received - Documents received" - they changed it to 7 September even if they received the docs on 10 JUNE. I have submitted my aplication for Points Test Letter in September, it reached them on 19th of September and had a hard time making them processing the payment by 3 October - it was a paper based application for Points Test Advisory Letter following skills assesment. Please anyone had a similar problem - they changing the date for receiving the original documents? (they changed it from 3 June to 7 September!!!!!!) :mad:
