I know when we were going through the process last year the offices of our case officer was in brisbane and they had to evacuate because of the floods so that delayed things by a few weeks.

Hi, Just wondering has anyone ever broken their lease agreement? We signed a 12 month lease on the 11th November but there are a few things about the place that were not happy with now and the property manager is useless about getting them sorted. I know we probably cant break it without paying a huge amount of compensation but I'm just curious if anyone has ever had to go that far?

Don't think theres anything like that here man. I'm a big Liverpool fan & havent seen a game since I left Ireland in October. Having major issues trying to get foxtel installed. I don't know if there would be enough people to set something up but I'd be interested if you do

Ah nothing worse. Hopefully it all gets here ok. Our boxes left around the 28th of November aswell but we were told it would take up to 90 days so February is on schedule. I don't know what pickfords told you about the travel time (I've heard bad things about them)

Wow that's crazy! We've nothing like that. Just clothes etc. we put all our shoes into one box so they'll prob open that one and "clean" it even though we cleaned them before they went in. Thanks for the replies. Hopefully won't be waiting too much longer after they arrive in Sydney!

Hi Guys, Our boxes of stuff from our old life which we couldn't leave is arriving in sydney on the 18th February. I've heard from one or 2 people that it takes another eternity to clear customs & to actually get to Canberra. We went with Seven Seas Worldwide & shipped 13 boxes, golf clubs, guitar etc Has anyone had any problems between sydney and canberra or with customs? It's been long enough on the ship I dont want it to be longer! Thanks!!

Hi all, my wife Laura and I recently moved to Canberra. We've finally settled in after the initial madness of looking for an apartment and jobs.
