<p><p><p><p><p>I'm not sure what sort experience they're looking for but being a machine operator as well as O/H line work will be a great advantage. I'm certain they won't just take people on and expect them to start work straight away out there. They must give some sort of conversion/familiarisation training before you're allowed loose on the network. Any training needs identified could be taken care of at that point. I've been away from the industry for 10 years which will no doubt go against me but I can all but try. Which expo are you going to ?</p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p>Stacey, I haven't contacted that company yet, I was going to see what happens at the expo on Sunday. Western Power are there so hopefully I will get somewhere with them. I've had someone from Hays Energy in Perth phone me up last week about linesman jobs with western Power and Transfield services (I think I sent you the link to their mini web page). I sent them my CV and they are sending it on to both companies. Apparently they both want equal amounts of linesmen so there might be some hope there. I'm busy reading all my old training manuals just to remember how its done.</p></p>
