Hi, my father is planning to move to Australia in 2018 on the Aged Parents Visa and needs to know if he pay tax to the ATO on his UK pensions? He will have approx $27,000 per year total income from the UK Govt and a couple of private pensions. Presuming he won't qualify for the tax allowance for seniors as you have to be a resident for 10 years. Just trying to work out what he will have left to live on after outgoings. Any info or advise appreciated.

My 3 children attend Indro State High School having moved here 20 months ago. (17, 15 and 14 years). Good school, good results and we've been impressed so far. Safe area and good shops, we are in Fig Tree Pocket and prefer to be a little further south of Indooroopilly as the traffic is busy in the town centre. Our container arrived in Brisbane 36 hours ago and the shipping company said we should have it within 10-14 days. While customs clearance is sorted in one day they only actually check our company (Kent relocations) 2 days a week. Providing the container is released from port promptly we should hit customs clearance on Tues 20 March. Delivery could be by Friday 23rd March. Fingers crossed!
