  1. All governmental and health departments use vevo. You visa is automatically stored on there, your grant notice has the details that's all you need to show, and the rest they can check through vevo. Medicare and centrelink use vevo too.
  2. We recently came to Sydney with approximately 15 pieces of luggage, 3 car seats, a push chair and a travel cot. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids under the age of 5) and had a luggage allowance of 40kg per person so you can imagine how much luggage we had. We had family drop us to the airport so they helped us carry the luggage with trolleys to the check in desk. On the other side my husband located all the bags in the baggage hall and asked personnel from our airline to arrange for someone at the airport to help transport the luggage through to security and onto the taxi rank. (we had hired a shuttle bus with a trailer that was able to carry all our luggage). Just call your airline and see if they can arrange something for you, otherwise there should be someone at Brisbane airport - baggage services that should be able to help. Hope it all goes smoothly ?

  6. Do you know if the catchment area has changed or expanded? I'm looking on google and I think the map I have might be an old one? Do you know anything about kellyville public school?
  7. Hi My husband and I will be moving to Sydney in June. We are looking to move to the hills district. Kellyville, baulkham hills area and wanted to know if anyone had any information about good schools in the area? I have a 5 year old, 3 and a 1 year old. So initially will be looking at primary schools and nurseries for the younger ones. Any recommendations or info would be very helpful. I have looked at sherwood ridge and kellyville public schools, looking for some reviews on those or any others that may be good?? Thank you

  12. Hi I sent my fridge off last week with John masons. You just need to check with the manufacturer of your fridge if there is a specific type of gas in the fridge. We have a Samsung fridge and the wrote to us and confirmed that the gas in our fridge is not harmful. We forwarded the email to John masons, and they added it with the paperwork for our container. That way the quarantine people will see that all is ok. (well I hope that's how it will go). Another piece of advice when shipping your goods make sure everything has been packed and nothing has been missed and everything has been loaded, as we did miss 6 boxes and had to have them shipped separately. Not ideal really considering we have a 20ft container in its way to Sydney!!!
  13. It is a small world. Are you off to oz anytime soon?
  14. That's useful to know thanks for the information, much appreciated.
  15. Aaaah that's not too bad, hope it all gets there smoothly for you. I've heard of some friends who have sent out containers and they have waited upto 4 weeks for their container to be released. Does packing your own stuff as opposed to having it packed by the shipper make a difference?
