Hi, if you are shipping a container anyway . . . .bring the dishwasher . . . In fact I would bring a brand new one as the prices in WA are expensive.
As for the fridge, I think you will find there are strict rules of transporting fridges. So double check if you can.
We brought our new dishwasher and are so glad we did.
i would also recommend (if you are using container) a new 9kg washing machine . . . . As they are double the price here.
Some other info that may be of use:
cars - retail at similar price when new but retain their value better than the UK. Don't be surprised to pay $10,000 for a ten year old motor. So we bought a new one.
houses- rent prices are pure madness. Expect to pay $400 + per week for a 3 bed property. There is a housing shortage, so the market is very competitive at the moment.
Jobs are plentiful . . . . .
