Hey has anyone recently been granted perm residency on a subclass 801 partner visa? I sent all my second stage documents back to the office in April as requested as it had been two years since I first lodged my 820 partner visa. Not heard anything back yet, seems a long time to have to wait especially after waiting 2 years! Thanks

Hey Im in Townsville, like you I have not met many poms! My husbands from Mission Beach but we moved down here for work. How are you finding it?
-
Id say go for it! I was in a similar position back in 2008, I had a great job in Manchester but after 3 years I started to get itchy feet and wanted to go backpacking in Oz. I just went for it and booked a one way ticket, best decision ive made!

Fantastic news Tink85. It's all worth it and life can get back to some sort of normality.
I took your advice and gave him a call, should have done it earlier!!
-
Yipppppppppeeeeeee!! Got my visa granted today!!!:biggrin::biggrin:
So happy, i gave my CO a call and he said it was ready and would grant it! Yet to tell my other half in OZ he seems to be in a deep sleep and not answering his phone right now!!
POI has been great and Good Luck to everyone still waiting

How have you not called before now? I drove my other half mad persuading him to call. Do it so you at least know where you stand.
I think my patience is starting to run out now! haha My CO was on holiday for the past 2 weeks so my fingers are crossed hes onto it in the next few days!!

Woop woop!!!!!
Our visa has been granted! Subclass 100. 4 months and one week. Thank you all so so much for your support and words of wisdom. If it's been over 4 months then call your CO and get an update!
We fly 2 weeks tomorrow. Last thing to do is for the dollar to weaken by 1 cent so that we can buy our house before Thursday.
Good luck to everyone still waiting xxxxx
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Congratulations May have to call now, its been nearly 5 months!!

visa granted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeeehhhhaaahh
Congrats!!! I applied 3 days after you so hopefully wont be waiting much longer!! My CO is on holiday aswell

I'd love to know how you get on - seeing as we share the same CO it would be interesting to see what his time lines are. He told us he aims to finalise at the beginning of November which is exactly 5 months. However I am crossing my fingers that this is just the standard response and the visa is granted on the 15th October!!! Not that 2 weeks is going to make much difference I just want to have a definite date in order to finalise everything this side. I almost feel as though my life is on hold and my 'real life' will begin in Australia. :daydreaming:
I feel the same i cant really do anything until i get a date when its granted, do you think because hes away for 2 weeks this will put our visa processing 2 weeks behind? Im hoping he has done it already and just email us when hes back!

I think I'd be phoning Oz house and seeing who is dealing with it while they're away as others who applied after you have had them granted or are being granted! Good luck
I dont know whether to ring up now to see if its been passed to someone else  my CO said 5-6 months and it will be 5 months on 8th august, dont want to be annoying! lol might give it another week. Just want to book my flight!!:twitcy:

Hi, i also have PS do you know if our application gets passed to another CO or do we have to wait until he gets back from holidays??
-
Also very impatient, we handed ours in Early June, had the wedding booked for Nov, looks like ill have to postpone it again:sad: oh well, third time lucky i guess...... Least i commited to my wedding dress today:smile:
But i miss my home, n my family, n my cat, n my puppy n qld weather:cry:
We had our wedding booked for the end of this month, had to rebook for November! Didnt realise it would take this long, my own fault should of applyed earlier! lol
-
We have PS too and were also told 5-6 months. We applied in April and he has told us that he hopes to have it all finalised by mid September. He seems like he keeps to the books and is very thorough (which I guess is a good thing!) but we are impatient and can't wait to get back to Aus
I know im so impatient aswell but dont want to be annoying and email him all the time! I applied early march so hopefully hear something soon Keen to get back to Oz and the OH! :twitcy:

Hi all,
I applied for a Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) at Aussie House in London on 11th June, money taken out a couple of days later. I received a mail chasing up the medical checks (I'd already done them, but medical centre hadn't forwarded them at that point) and also a police check (which I arranged that day and they received 1 week later).
Anybody else going through this visa process, or has been of late and know what sort of processing time we are looking at? My Fiance is over in Australia at the moment and really having a tough time of late and I hate not being there to help her
Hi applied for the pmv in march and they just say its 5-6 months wait, hope its quicker! The being apart is driving me mad! lol
-
Is anyone else waiting for the Prospective Marriage Visa? I applied in March and hoping its the same time frame to have granted as the Partner visas??
-
Congrats! I lodged mine a month after you so fingers crossed its not to far away!!

hey, i applied for my visa at the beginning march with plans to get married at the end of july hoping our visa would be granted by then! Didnt realise it would take this long should of applied a bit earlier i think! :(i emailed my CO to see if this date would still be ok but he just said its 5-6 months wait!! Not sure what to do now should i rearrange the wedding date or just wait and hope it gets granted sooner??!!

Huge coincidence- I've just checked on the immigration website on vevo and was granted perm residency on the 11th, the day I wrote this! Not had any emails or anything through the post yet though! So it was only a 4 month wait, seemed a long time!!
