How fun hearing from everyone! I stayed in Sydney for 4 years fell in love with and married an Aussie! We then moved to LA 3 years ago and started our family! I think of Australia as home now and we come back at least once a year! I love LA bit would love to bring up my daughter back inn aus! Xx

Woke up this morning to an email from our agent (who is totally amazing) saying that we been granted our visa's and have to be in Oz before 15th Nov 2012.

 

What an amazing 5 days its been....on Thursday night I won a prestigious award at the UK IT Industry Awards (there goes any privacy I have) and today we got our visa's! Better buy a lottery ticket!

I have a question.... I was planning on going to Oz a couple of months before my husband to get a job, find us a place to live etc. while we're still getting some income from him in the UK, is that ok? I know on here people have said that it's ok for the primary applicant to enter first, but my friends who are there already said they both had to enter togther. Does it say on their website somewhere? It doesn't say anywhere on the grant info they sent me through..?

Yay.......... so I woke up to an email from my CO... visa granted!!!! :smile:

Soooooo happy... we can start making plans for our move! I hope everyone else in the waiting room isn't too far behind!!!

How long are people generally in the visa 'waiting room' for? After everything has been uploaded how long does it usually take to get a grant?

Something is happening, my meds are now showing as received, so are our two sons, daughters showing Hep blood tests requested, But Hubby's still showing Meds requested......This is doing my head in!!!!!!!!! I just want meds finalised, and join Anlopa, Tania, TraxFM and all the others in the visa waiting room.

Same! Mine has changed to finalised but my husbands bloods are still requested?!!! Sooooo frustrating!

Aaaaargh, Meds still showing as requested, Just rang the Bridge Clinic to make sure they have uploaded everything, the lady I need to speak to doesn't start work til 10, I'm off to work myself now, so will ring when I get home.....Why is something so simply taking so long????

Su, I called them and she said they had a problem uploading our results to e-health, but they were in touch with DIAC and ths issue is resolved. She expects the resilts to be updated in the next 24 hours! :biggrin::v_SPIN: Maybe it was the same problem with yours?

When I called them they told me they were ue back to me on the 5th Nov... but I got them earlier this week, so I definately think you won't have to wait that long! :policeman:

I just can't see why she would have uploaded Sophie's without doing everyone else's.......Although thinking about it Sophie was the only on to have Hep Blood test aswell as HIV, as she is 18 and will be attending Uni when she is there.

Yeah, maybe hers came back first? I've checked twice this morning... I'll leave it until lunch and check again and let you know! Fingers crossed for us both!

It could still happen today as the meds part is dependant on the Doctor. Once they log on and sign off, the system updates. I dont believe this is done by the CO.

I think the Doc said she was going to look at them today... so hopefully she'll sign us all off...:wubclub:

DCAL where do your meds say finalised? All my other docs say met now... other than the meds still say required... I guess we only had them done Tuesday though...

Ooohh.... and I just got home to police checks :policeman: so I can upload those tomorrow too! Now just wait for Maidenhead to upload the meds on Friday!

Yeah we have been waiting a long time, my Husbands occupation was taken off the SOL but re appeared in Jul this year, like a lot of the old applicants on this thread Tania, Anlopa TraxFM Mandyandmark to name a few, but our kids are growing up quickly as you saw at the clinic this morning, Sophie was just taking her GCSE's when we started this process, she is now at Uni. So we will wait until our eldest son has taken his A Levels now, which means we won't move out til Summer 2013. we are off to Melbourne, where are you hoping to settle down?

We were just saying how much more difficult it would be if you also had children with their own minds to consider... and then being taken off the list and not knowing either way! But it all looks positive for you now which is good... and the children will definately love it! I wish my parents took me years ago! I think we are going to Sydney initially as we have a couple of friends there, but I'm not sure if we'll settle there permanently as we've heard it's expensive... so I think we'll take the time to look around and figure out where we want to be! We're just appreciating that we have this opportunity and we want to make the most out of it... just wish we could take all our friends and family too!

So they called on Friday and it was updated online today... so they updated it really quickly!
