All i know is that people who went to Bali last Thursday after Bali opened up to tourists, had to go to the airport 48 hours before their flight and get a PCR test.
Of course UK may be different.
thanks - I think we'll just end up doing them and then of course we won't need them, better safe than sorry

If you are flying into Australia you need a fit to fly test. That can either be a PCR within 48 hours or an Antigen test within 24 hours. I flew into Australia last weekend and did an Antigen fit to fly the day before. Really easy and I had my negative certificate emailed to me within the hour. Interstate you don’t need one.
Sorry - no we're flying to the UK Via Singapore and Helsinki thanks

I'm getting mixed messages about pre flight PCR tests.
If you're fully vaccinated with certificates - do you need a test - everywhere I check says no, but I'm just wondering.
thanks

If you have been lucky enough to keep a house in the uk while away then you can get round the rules. The processes appear to be pretty dysfunctional and vary between different universities. Unfortunately a system that favours the more wealthy in society
Thanks - yes, we have and sadly yes I think it does

thank you

Hi,
Has anyone completed the TOR for pets and property - is it two seperate forms or just one?
With pets - a health certificate is needed - where (presumably vets) and when can I get this - I can't get the TOR for our dogs without it?
thanks

Im trying to get my no claims discount from my car insurers, but they say they can only supply details that I have the time I was with them. The lady didn't sound like she really knew what I was talking about. I need it for my UK car Insurance. Does anyone know how to get details on your Australian no claims
thanks

Hi,
not sure if I should ask on here as well as on the returning to UK section - we're flying our two border terriers back to Manchester from Brisbane - looking for recommendations please.
I've also heard that they have to fly within a certain time period that we leave I think I heard 4 days, is this right? If so, does it matter if family will be collecting them at the other end?
thanks

Maybe ask the specialist on the three moving your car to OZ - he might have an idea about the pros and cons of taking it back too

We're wanting to bring our dogs back from Australia to the UK, does PetAir do Australia to the UK? If not, any recommended companies, Brisbane is our nearest international airport and we're looking to return end of March/early April
thanks

Hi,
we're selling our house in QLD before returning to the UK - the agents have said that because its over $750k we need to complete an overseas resident form (yes, it sounds more complicated than it is and I totally understand why the form has to be completed), but the agents suggests seeking the advice of our tax agent or a solicitor. The form looks pretty straight forward though - can we just do it ourselves?
Secondly what tax implications are there when selling a house here and returning to the UK? We won't necessarily need to transfer the money straight away
TIA

Hi,
We're wanting to transfer funds from our Australian account to the UK as we're in the UK for the foreseeable future - its a decent amount from our house sale, super, savings & final pay - obviously transferring between banks is an option but not a very good rate - just looking for other better and SAFE ways with perhaps better rates
thanks
