  1. Thames Migration in Chiswick - London - I was granted my visa 2 days ago after a lot of bad advice from agents here and in OZ. Thames often do seminars with guests from the whole moving business. I guess everyone on here will promote their agents if they have been successful - but I can genuinely say that Thames are very professional and worth the fees. Good luck with it all.
  2. Wow - Congrats , Must be an amazing feeling ..........Its a long old process this with stress at every turn but we hope to have success this year as well and spend New year in Perth on a visa activation trip ....... Looking at this forum i think we are still in for a wait , the nomination stages have been very quick this week but this last bit seems to be the long wait ........Fingers x for everyone in same position as us - Good luck ;-)
  3. Hi - My wife and i recently failed a skills assessment with Vetassess due to her BTEC Level 3 Diploma being one level too low for comparison to an AQF Diploma - We read on here the recommendations for academy 3 and I signed up - Yesterday i received my certifcates for Diploma in management and am now full steam ahead for another go at passing the skills assessment. I was so impressed with the service from academy 3 ( Paul MULLER ) that i offered to share my experience on here - as its refreshing to find a company that are willing to help you through every stage and make it as painless as possible ! I spent 3 months doing a little every night to evidence my work via recognition of prior learning and passed. If anyone reading this has qualification shortfalls and one of academy3's courses could help you then i highly reccomend them - It seems a few people on here have done the same and passed their skilled assessments so fingers x it works for us this time ! Good luck everyone - If you speak to Paul MULLER at academy 3 - mention my post please ;-) ...............( Mark Garner )
  4. Dear all - Apologies if this alreday been discussed elsewhere but have seen swome misleading information on other forums so thought id let you know ive spoken to WA Police in person this morning and they have clarified the following - (1) The current campaign to attract UK officers who are IN AUSTRALIA at the moment is targetting UK officers who are out there and you MUST HAVE 3 - 7 YEARS experience on response team in uniform. If you can make it out in September to do the assessments AND can start the academy in the New year then you should contact them quick as closing date is next Monday....... (2) They are hinting that they MAY come to London later this year to do London assessments but have stated the service limit is likely to be 3 - 7 years again. They have apparantly had problems in the past with officers of more service going over and not wanting to go back to uniform and have created a fuss that they are specialist officers etc etc. They are ONLY interested in attracting young in service officers it seems. The officer i spoke to out there said the service limit wont be flexible - If its set at 7 years then thats it ...... So as an officer with 18 years in uniform and willing to stay on team im a bit stuck ! Good luck to anyone who applies
