  1. Guys,

I landed in Perth last week (14th Aug) and having done quite a bit of legwork while in the UK (see my post on Page 2) I met with 2 recruitment agencies, the ones who seem serious in representing you will want to meet you (from my experience anyway).

One of them set me up with an interview a few days later and I found out today they I have got the job, its only a 3 month contract but with possibilities of an extension.

So from my point of view, the market seems good :)

  2. Hi,

Im a CRM Dynamics Developer, been doing that for about 2 years, prior to that I have 10 years experience with SQL databases and MS Access, I have also in the past few years done some BI work with SSRS and SSIS.

Currently based in the Midlands but moving to Perth in August on a 175. Have been looking on Seek.com.au for jobs and contacting the recruiters through LinkedIn, had some positive replies from them but they all say it would be easier when Im in Perth or re-contact them about 4 weeks before Im due to arrive.

If anyone has any suggestions/contacts I would be grateful if you could pass them on.

    Regards

    Bharat

  3. No mate, haven't found anything yet, still hunting, been in touch with some agencies via LinkedIn, sounds promising but nothing set in stone yet.

Think we won't based far from you, looking at Hocking area initially.

Great news that you are moving over to Perth.

What about work - still hunting or found something?

We'll be moving to Wembley in this month end.

  4. No mate, this ones the big move over...

Will defo give you a call when I arrive...what area are you in, we are looking NOR

    Hey buddy,

Glad to see your reply. Hope everything is well at your end.

Give me a call when you arrive in Perth..

I believe this visit is just for the validation or you are moving over?

    Regards,

    Shrikant

  5. Hi mate,

Im still here, don't post much but keeping an eye on the thread.

Im moving over to Perth on the 14th August, just in the process of tying up all the loose ends here in the UK.

Hope all is well with you?

Gotta agree with you, SHANDGH doing a wonderful job of keeping the thread going.

    Hello Everyone..

    How are you guys?

It's been long time I have not posted anything on this forum. I got my 175 granted in the mid of January 2012 when we were in Qatar. After receiving the visa, I started for job search from Qatar and managed to find work in Perth office of the same organization where I was working in Qatar.

In Last week of April , we moved to Perth and started working.

Trying to settle down in Australia. I must tell ya that finding a house on rent is a big challenge if you are new to this place.

BPremji :- are you still writing to this forum? Where are you there days?

ShanGh :- you are doing a great job. Keep it up!

    Cheers,

    Shrikant

  6. I believe DIAC only look at your employment up until the date you lodge your application and not when a CO picks up your file.

    So you should be ok....

    URGENT feedback required :

My org has recently gone thru a downsizing & my job has been terminated, incidentally my application is up for allocation in next month or so... I want to know how would this impact my chances of getting a grant. Also, will CO reject my application knowing that I lost my job & I don't have a new one?

    Any update/feedback will be appreciated.

    Thanks Sekena.

  7. Congratulations....think your one of the last 'old school' applicants....great to see DIAC are chugging along at a good pace again...

Well after being woken up at 2:30am by my little boy having a nightmare I thought I would check my e-mails and we have our visa grant!!!!! Please turn me purple SHandGH x

Thank you so much to everyone on here who has supported me over the past 9 months especially Tania, Bpremji and SHandGH for keeping this fantastic thread going xxxx

  8. Hello all,

Good to see we are getting some CO allocations albeit not at the rate we'd like.

News from me is that I have just booked our flights for Perth for 13th August. Wife, 2 kids and I are heading over for 2 weeks and they will return and I will stay on to try and find work and get a rental sorted and the other million things that I probably haven't even thought of yet.....eeeeeeeek

If anyone else is headed over around that time Qatar airways have some good prices on at the moment, flying from Heathrow with only a 90 minute stopover in Doha. I paid £2750 for 2 adults and 2 children which was considerably cheaper than I could get with any other airline, this was through flightcentre.co.uk

    Good luck all.....

  9. SHandGH,

Thanks for offering to take over the thread. Im sure you will do a great job. Its not as much work as I used to make out

    All the best

    Bharat

    Hi Guys,

I have offered to take over the thread and Bpremji has accepted. Many thanks to him and to Tania for all their efforts. I will try to keep things up to date as much as I can. This thread will now be moved to the following link,

  11. Thanks for the advice guys.....

So here's what I did....agent forwarded me the details of the documents that needed uploading...went home yesterday lunch time to grab the documents...scanned them in and uploaded them myself...also asked the agent to forward me a copy of the initial email that was sent, so I could email the case officer directly and guess what....just checked my application online and....

    APPLICANT APPROVED.......

Strangely it says next to each of our names it says message and when I click through it says I will need to have a visa label put in each of the passports but not a problem as I'm due to be in London next week anyway...

Our initial entry date has to be before 26/09/2012.

Thanks to all who have helped these past 10 months, I can honestly say i wouldn't have been able to do it without your help...

My next thoughts turn to the thread and the spreadsheet, if anyone wants to take over, PM me you and I'll give you the details of what needs to be done, hopefully someone will take over as it would be a shame to stop now, saying that I'll be around for a bit yet....

For all you gus who are still waiting, chin up, your turn will come soon....

  12. Guys,

Quick question for anyone who has had to upload extra documents after getting a Case Officer.

My agent has forwarded me the details of what DIAC still require from me, its basically my payslips and some tax documents along with the kids birth certificates.

I have uploaded them to the same place as the previous documents, is that the correct thing to do, if so does the case officer get an 'alert' to say I have uploaded new documents or does my agent have to email him/her?

    Thanks for any help/advice

    Bharat

  13. Cheers mate.....just checked it again and yes it does say email sent to you...i'll email my agent and see what they have to say...

    Cheers

Congratulations Bharat! Yes, you have a CO now. Did you see a notification "Email sent to you" ?? All the best.

    Cheers,

    Shrikant

  14. Guys....

Great news (I think)....just checked my application online and it says Application being processed further with today's date against it (30th Jan)...

On the second page it's showing as everything is Met except for My evidence of work experience and both my sons birth certificates, which were definitely uploaded.....strange...

Anyway as I've gone through an agent I suppose I'll have to wait to hear from them to see if anything else is required...

    Great start to the week.....

  15. I filled in the Form 80 when I lodged the application and uploaded it then.....

Was a real pain in the bum to get all the info....

Some people dont need to fill it in, I think it depends on your Case Officer....

I'm a bit confused about this form 80. Did you apply online? I have now sent pcc and our medicals have been finalised so I am hoping to get a direct grant too as I believe there is nothing else I need to send.
  16. Helloooo....

Good to see you back, glad the house sale went through...

Ive front loaded everything so hopefully wont have any contact from a CO and get a direct grant...

    G'day guys,

    Long time no post

took me a while to read through everything, BLECH - CONGRATULATIONS.

BPREMJI - was hoping to come on here to see you have a CO at least. I dont think it'll be long for you.

CONGRATULATIONS to all those who im not familiar with who have got COs and/or grants, its an amazing feeling eh

    update from me:

House sold and completed on the 3rd January. We are currently residing at my mums and we have booked our ONE WAY TICKETS for the 20th September 2012. This is giving us time to save for the big move (have you seen the prices of cars in oz - OMG). lol.

For those who are still waiting, never give up hope, it will happen, sooner or later, patience is the name of the game (although I was probably one of the most impatient members on here).
