I hate to ask such a negative question but does anyone fail the medicals? Am just asking cos my parents went and the doctors were all "I don't make the decision you know." which i understand but he said it without my dad even asking! So I was wondering does anyone fail cos I have never heard of it. Of course I have for the skilled visas but if they are asking for so much money with this one? I'd be grateful for any info but don't need any great detail or conditions or anything. Just anything anyone can share. Cheers x

At the risk of sounding really stupid:err:the amount per person if there are two people applying is $37,000 (or near enough) that is not the price for a couple is it???

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me on this my parents are panicking. They have applied for an offshore contributory parent visa - so please help me out on the following if you have any idea

1)how long do they get after having the visa granted before they have to enter Australia to validate it?

2) Once they have validated do they have to come and live in Oz straight away

this is obviously because of concerns with the exchange rate and I can't seem to find the answers online.
