  1. Finally ... got my 190 Visa granted on 10/12/2013!!!!
  2. I've still not heard whether I've been assigned a CO or not - no one has been in touch... is it worth calling the DIAC?
  3. Hi deeacz - that's really awesome news. Did you just get a mail? Did you have much prior contact with the CO. Congrats once again!!!
  4. Hi there, we've not heard anything on the CO front. Was expecting we might hear something this week but so far nothing.. we have 2 adults and 2 children on the application so expect it will take them some additional time to assess the docs we have uploaded.
  5. Congrats - that's brilliant news.. a new life awaits you. all the best for your journey and new life in Australia!!!
  6. Blimey! That's great news.. good luck - let us know how you get on..
  7. Just called immigration - no Case Officer as of yet but we have been "batched" to Team 2 - and 'should get CO' soon...
  8. I just logged in to check status and noticed that my son's medical status now states "No health examinations are required for this person for this visa subclass based on the information provided to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship." does this mean his medical referral has now been processed???
  9. Rob - if you do well in your IELTS you can a get total of 20 Points. It's not that difficult if you're native speaker - but definitely worth googling IELTS to get some training material .. as it's more about understanding the exam conditions and writing under timed conditions..
  10. We've applied ourselves for the 190 Visa - so I agree with Sunshinebee. The whole process is reasonably straight forward once you've done your research. The process is really expensive as it is so for us saving money was important. So far we've spent $1300 on medicals, $8000 on 190 Visa, $500 skills assessment and another $500 on English tests.. plus another $250 on Police checks.. so adding agents fees on to this would have been a big expense. I imagine the agent will take some of the stress out of the process as they will lead you through and ensure you only submit the right information at the right time..
  11. That's interesting - means we could be closer than we think... :-)
  12. Looks like we're in the same boat - with the medicals being referred - fingers crossed :-) will try and remember to update forum if and when we get medicals cleared.. we're waiting for a letter from pediatrician to be sent to immigration medical people.. The letter should have been sent last week but they spelled the name of the school my son goes to incorrectly, so it had to be re-typed.
  13. We're still waiting for CO to be assigned - will be 5 weeks on the 28/10/13 since we submitted the application. Three of our medicals have been approved, apart from my son's which have been referred. I don't think this will be an issue but will keep checking to see if his medical gets approved. All police checks have been done.. fingers crossed for some movement on this before Christmas - would be icing on the cake to get PR before the end of the year..
  14. Still waiting for Case Officer. Police checks from UK have not come back and still awaiting results from medicals. I believe medical results should get automatically uploaded.
