Your situation is similar to ours. My husband has an Australian Passport and so I have been granted a permanent partner visa. Last week we booked our flights thinking that this would forge our decision, but the panic mode has increased!! My husband has elderly parents in the UK and would be leaving them without any immediate family, so he is feeling very guilty to say the least! His parents say they are not willing to travel to Australia either which makes matters worse. We have 2 children aged 6 and 9 and again they are settled in school etc.
In the light of day I am positive about the move and then wake up at 5am in a cold sweat!! Again there is no right answer, so I do feel for you!
