Hi looking for some info please. I have recently applied to AHPRA for registration and my plan is to go in person while on Holiday to Aus to pick up my registration then apply for a modified assessment skills assume that on my return. I have a friend who has recently registered and they have sent my a copy of details they had to show. 1) foreign passport with travel visa 2) proof of Aus address and or 3) offer of employment. I was wondering if any one has recently registered in person on a tourist visa and even if this is now possible.

just found out out about the Pte test and have been researching some info online. I have noticed the Edinburgh test are on Mondays at 2 o'clock and was wondering if anybody knows how long the test normally takes ?

Hi , not sure if everyone is already aware but after reading a post on Poms in Perth "changes to ahpra registration finalisation" where the nurse was able to validate her registration with some certified ID which included a certified copy of a visitor visa which was posted to ahpra instead of having to appear in person. After I read this I emailed ahpra and enquired in regards to these new changes and they confirmed that this was now the case. Although I need to reapply anyway as was unable to validate mine under the old rules but hopefully this may help other nurses who are struggling to get visas ect before the registration expires.

Hi, got a couple of more question if any one can help I would be very grateful. So Ive started collecting info for Skills Assesment Thanks to Manny Man for the list and Its not so bad as I first thought so far. I was just wondering if anyone knows how long certified documents are valid for as I had some done in August and Im unsure if I need them redone.

Ive started gathering some of that stuff but what is initial registration certificate ? I dont have one of these.You'll be fine with AHPRA as you will have most of the info from the skills assessment so fingers crossed you dont have any probs with them. I'll defo keep you posted although im so not looking forward to this IELTS wish I had attempted it ages ago as I wont have much time to resit in time for applying before the July changes.

Thanks for that. I think its still the same as you cant access the online application untill you have a valid code for a passed IELTS test which means I cant see exactly what they require. Did you just sent all the same stuff that is required for aphra because Ive already collected most of that anyway.Oh and OMG ive just started studying for the IELTS god only knows how you can study for that lol anyway looks like Ive got my work cut out for me for the next few months so any advice or info given will be gratefully received.

Hi , I am just about to complete my 12 months work experience and Ive also booked to sit the IELTS test and was wondering if anyone has any recent experience of applying for their skills assesment with ANMAC. I was going to use an agent but I cant afford it at present so was going to give it a bash myself . Any help would be gratefully appreciated . I have looked at at the ANMAC website and was wondering do you fill the application online once you pass the IELTS and the courier all the certified copies of the required documents?
