  1. Hi we came on the 457 visa.. Brisbane is expensive but the wages are higher.. So it balances.. but the first few months to year is the most expensive.. my partner stayed in motel for a few weeks at 100 a night until he got us are rental. Does he have accomodation?
  2. We live in Warner. Nice area. Eaton hills Albany creek also nice areas i work outside city and it takes me 35min to get there. Not sure what commute to city is on train.. Rent gets more expensive the closer u live to the city so it depends what u want.
  3. Hi guys we are already here.. Any question feel free to ask.. Yes it expensive but the wages are higher. We live north side of Brisbane. there is some lovely area to bring up kids and so much to do with them. time will fly and u will be here in No time..

  10. hi folks my partner went a month ago on 457 visa. he is a joiner and i am a spa therapist. renting a house in warner. me and our 2 year old daughter head in 6weeks. we are young couple. looking any idea on how to meet people. any mother and todler groups etc.. any irish in the area.. any idea or tips or anyonr looking to meet up feel free to comment xx thanks martina :biggrin:

  12. we done 457 visa all done in 2months and flight are booked ready to go, only visa cost $350 no agent... so alot less money...
  13. we went with a 457 sponsor ship, i know people that have went out on a holiday and set up interview online and got a job and sponsorship with that, came home got visa sorted and then went.. few months later.. we where lucky we knew the company and got our sponsorship. it is $350dollor for that visa which is very little but you are with the company for up to 4 years, and you can be apply for permanent resident from there.. so you are then free to work where ever and for whoever... stop talking talking abt. just do it.. this is not a trial run this is your life so follow your dreams..
  14. hi guys thank you for you help.. checking out those area in northside, looks pretty, where is the best area that is close to restaurant, cafe, bar shops, schools, parks? want some where close to this ie walking distance, and family friendly... he doesnt have to go to the city everyday. just on the odd occasion, so suburb, any suggestions on area would be great. as it is hard to know i suppose until you are there...
  15. hi Can anyone tell me nice area to live near brisbane. my partner is heading in 3 weeks. then me and my 2 year old daughter going in 3months. had looked at wellington point area. any idea where is nice. his office is in the city centre, most jobs will be an hour from brisbane centre....north of brisbane and south east queens land area.. also does anyone know web site for holiday rental, he is looking to rent a studio or one bed, cheap but clean, for 2-3weeks until he susses out the area?? any help would be great. thanks
