Lymmes Disease does not officially exist in humans in Australia so its possibly a non issue!

Firstly have you looked to see if an osteopath can help or does he genuinely need surgery.
If surgery is needed provided he does the "proper rehabilitation" afterwards and is back to work with no ill effects he should be ok with regards the medical.
Contact peter palmer - Osteopath in Cardiff or David Rodway in Swansea - these guys are good and maybe he doesn't need surgery. If he is working and is just sore it sounds like he should be ok.
Dr Roger!

Sunshine Coast - there is work here in that field but may be hard to find. Its a case of "face fitting and a lucky break".
But the Coast is a wonderful place to live.

Hi,
I am hoping someone could help me as I'm new to all this.
My Mum & Sister live in Brisbane and have done for 7 years, they are now permanent residents. I would love to move out there and be with them but I have no clue which visa I have to apply for. I'm 27 with good health and a full time job in a solicitors. My partner of 9 years is 30 years old, fully qualified electrician but has Crohn's disease. Please can anyone advise what we would have to do to live and work in Oz?
Many thanks in advance
Kayleigh
The main medical problems for getting into Australia are AIDS, TB and cancer. UC if well controlled is unlikely to be too much of a problem. Talk to an agent and I'd recommend Bill Rose at Anglia.com.au for advice.

Look at Mountain Creek or Chancellor State College - both are excellent - but unless you live in the catchment you stand no chance of getting in. Chancellor is superb.
-
The local knowledge is that on the Coast there are 2 schools that people literally fight to get their kids into and they are Mountain Creek and Chancellor College. You would need to live in the catchment as places are highly sought after. My kids are at Chancellor and I am very happy with it..

They are here but generally they are not a problem unless you try to kill them or pick them up.

Hi All, Planning on moving from NZ to Sunshine coast March/April next year. Looked on line at areas and like the look of Kawana Waters as will hopefully get a job at the new hospital. I will be taking my 15year old daughter and 14 year old son and have done some research on line and identified Kawana Waters High School and Mountain Creek High School. Any comments on these schools? Any reason why I would need to look at private schools? Any info welcome. Thanks
Both Schools are good, but probably the most highly rated school locally is Chancellor State College in Sippy Downs / Buderim. It is outstanding and we pulled our kids out of a "top" private school locally to get ours in there. Brilliant primary school too. Its adjacent to the university and shares facilities, but also the kids see it as a natural progression from an early age that going to university is something that will happen.

Go the extra mile and go to Mooloolaba for an excellent beach
-
Buderim Private Hospital has its own mental health unit - the biggest on the Coast
-
Just looked at your criteria and Buderim on the Sunshine Coast would tick most of the boxes with 2 ticks.

The Sunshine Coast of Queensland would suit you perfectly - lots of South Africans here and they love it!

Man flu and sunburn get me here! I think I have a healthier lifestyle and have lost a lot of weight. The food even in the supermarkets is no way near as altered / chemical additives, clean air and good food. Less stress, warm and clean air - I think you would be healthier here. You have time to take part in sports and keeping fit. You'd love it here.
-
Sunshine Coast is gorgeous and Buderim is wonderful.
-
Stella Maris is a Catholic Primary in Maroochydore and is highly thought of.
-
Have a look at Palmwoods and Buderim. I think both would tick your boxes. The key issue comes down to secondary schools for the kids unless you want to go private. If you want the best state school for secondary (Chancellor College) and a village feel then it has to be Buderim.
-
Mountain Creek is a good school but its huge!
I can recommend Chancellor State College as being superb, better than many of the privates!
Others that are good (sorry if I don't include them all, mu troll will be jumping) are Brightwater, Buderim Mountain, Tilara etc.
For Chacellor you'd probably need to live in Sippy Downs - its a very popular school.
-
Its a personal opinion, but I think you would struggle to beat the Sunshine Coast.
The big question is do you have jobs to come to?
We are in Buderim and love it.

You can be failed for obesity!

This happened to my Dad, blood in the urine, and he was asked to see a Urologist for an expert opinion.
He has exactly the same condition as you and once he had the report saying what it was and that there wasn't a kidney or prostate problem / anything serious he was accepted without any further nonsense.
With your medical make sure you are not over weight!

If you can do the MSc it would be a huge help for you work wise in Aus as that is where nursing etc is headed here!

There seems to be a 90 day wait before they even look at it. Funny how they take the money immediately!
-
Keep on top of them - but hopefully not long now.
They do seem to have speeded up recently.
In-growing toenails; anybody had them treated surgically? Partial nail avulsion?

Have a partial nail avulsion with a podiatrist. Incisional nail procedures by surgeons are painful and rarely work!
