  1. you have to build a roof with a hip at one side and a gable at the other,you build a saw horse,some of the guys had to sharpen a chisle,I had to use a circular saw and then an electric planer to show I was competent in using them,they also sit you down and ask some health and safety questions and other basic carpentry/joinery related questions.I also had to know about scaffold parts and basic formwork.When doing the roof on the 8x4 sheet you can use a roofing ready reckoner to help you get your sizes and angles correct,they also gave me a drawing with arrows pointing to different parts i.e. stud partition,lintel,and some scaffold parts.The guy was very friendly and willing to answer any questions.I did it a couple of years ago but I don,t think it has changed.Hope this helps.I was level 2 but I found the assessment quite easy and I found out my result within 3 days
