  1. Who do you think is going to win next year mate?

I can see the Lib Dems being wined and dined desperately by both parties - lets put it that way.

I also think the Tories will, unofficially, do a deal with UKIP re withdrawing from certain seats to ensure Labour does not get in.

Whoever wins has a job to make people believe that any political party has any scruples, any morals, any idea of what the working people of the country have gone through in the last 6 or 7 years.

  2. Cameron will promise anything to be able to get over the line in May and try and win another term. I'll be surprised if he even tries to deliver on any of them. The Tories are rightly terrified that UKIP will split the right wing vote and deliver a majority to Labour, so they'll abandon any semblence of having their own policies and try to win the closet Little Englanders.

  3. I think people like Paul are trying to come to terms with the fact lots of British citizens have decided enough is enough with he mainstream parties a they never deliver so will look elsewhere and UKIP fits the bill.

I don't need to 'come to terms' with facts Andy. But 120ish seats out of a possible 3200 is hardly a revolution is it? It's less than 5% of seats mate.

(and you really need to stop putting yourself forward as the voice of others. They can speak for themselves, as I do)

  4. I have no disdain for any opinions different from my own. I just pointed out you were wrong and you are still tap dancing away. Just because someone isn't going to move country doesn't mean they don't have the right.

I have the right to move back to the UK next week if I wanted. Does the fact that i'm not going to mean I don't have the right to do so?

Your hatred of UKIP is showing that you can't be objective, you try and spin anything they say into a negative comment.

I don't hate anyone or anything. I pity UKIP and anyone who feels such a far right libertarian party offer anything to working people.

And I've said nothing about them previously except questioning their alarmist tendencies. But that's all they've got and why they are nothing but this years BNP - soon to slither back under the rock they crawled out from

  5. You seem to be tap dancing your way around what you have said, maybe you should be a politician?

Every Brit is free to move to Romania and every Romanian is free to move to the UK right? So what was incorrect about that earlier number?

By the way I'm not that fussed whether the uk is in the eu or not, but I can't stand all this leftie spin everywhere.

Reds under the bed huh? Nice to know it's your dogmatic ideology and disdain of opinions different to yours that drives you.

Me, I have my own opinions that aren't shaped by hatred or envy but by personal experience, facts and evidence.

The pool of people who are willing and able to uproot to another country is limited. I'm sure you could look up what these percentages are if you wanted to back up your opinions with evidence.

  6. That sounds like an argument to let market forces manage migration numbers. If everyone comes to the UK it becomes unsustainable so people will go back. It is too imporant an issue IMO to just leave it to market forces.

Its not intended as an argument 'for' anything - I'm just stating what is already in place. Just as with the Polish a few years back, there comes a point where work runs out in the UK and many migrants return to their home country, or stop coming in significant numbers. In my local community there are negligible numbers of migrants - there's a long established Bangladeshi community and a smattering of other nationalities, yet UKIP hammered the Tories into third place. Migrants go where there is work, and that means in the UK that larger cities and centres for agriculture take the strain. The showing of UKIP in London clearly demonstrates that anyone with a brain or an education rejects their xenophobia. Maybe bigger investment in the infrastructure of agricultural areas is needed to allay fears and take the strain off.

  7. Ok so in your world, how many Bulgarians and Romanians have the right to move to the UK?

That is not how many will move, but how many have the right?

I thought we all lived in the same world?

The free movement of goods, money, and people is a two way street. Lots of Brits have moved or invested in countries around the EU and wider world. The agreements we signed allow a reciprocal arrangement.

Whether you or I like this arrangement is immaterial as it's in place and it isn't going anywhere soon.

  8. Too many managers?

i also think the ones that fail get off lightly as well.

A certain govt minister has overseen a couple of hundred million of wasted on the Universal Credit. Is he being held to account?

The rules should be the same for all - hold everyone to account equally by all means.

  9. No, what's your thoughts on the NHS and child protection services, not saying privatising is he right way, doubt the NHS ever will be totally, but there has been some shocking stories wher people haven't really been held to account.

There are some shocking incidents and these should be dealt with accordingly , but bath water and baby spring to mind

  10. Yeah but it's factually correct. Or do you think that British people are stupid and think that means every single one will move to the UK and leave nobody left in these 2 countries?

Nick Clegg thinks leaving the EU would lose 3 million jobs. What's this based off? Surely that is more scaremongering than saying a fact about population sizes?

It's factually correct in the same way that it was factually correct that we would be overrun with migrants from these countries come January 1st - ie not correct at all.

  11. So the more people come , the better our health and school , roads , infrastructure ect will become ?

With proper planning and investment, yes.

But the government is attempting to run down and outsource the NHS, privatise schooling and turn it into a profit making arm of business, and in the most recent development privatise child protection services so that large multi nationals can make a profit from taking kids into care, or leaving them at home and at risk.

It suits the purposes of the government to run services down so they can then 'prove' that wholesale reform is needed.

No Tories will rely on the NHS or state schools so they don't give a monkeys.

  12. "UKIP politicians suggested 29million Romanians (and Bulgarians) will invade the British shores"

Some people need some listening comprehension. UKIP say that they have the right to come to Britain, I have never seen anywhere where they have said that every single Romanian and Bulgarian will move to the UK.

    That's a big difference[/quote

SPOT ON ......we have had a few months of all the media attempting to de rail UKIP ......right or wrong , this is a quarter of the population speaking up

in relation to Bulgarians and Rumanians ....23,000 in 12 months is hardly a trickle is it .

Sorry to labour a point ....but the school places ...housing .....and NHS costs are coming from where exactly ?

from the increase in tax revenue of course

  13. "UKIP politicians suggested 29million Romanians (and Bulgarians) will invade the British shores"

Some people need some listening comprehension. UKIP say that they have the right to come to Britain, I have never seen anywhere where they have said that every single Romanian and Bulgarian will move to the UK.

    That's a big difference

They know exactly what they were doing. Given that the UK working population is only 30 million, this is scaremongering of the very worst kind.

  14. If it Didnt happen, then I'm glad, cos there was enough of the freeloaders already.

my niece works in a bookies in the UK and the things she told me were incredible, she has the likes of Slovaks and other Eastern Europeans in her place from opening to closing, spending and loosing thousands of pounds....

and where are they getting this money....oh yes, the UK government.

Uk welfare a big Fooking joke, there is enough UK born layabouts, without taking more on...

EU...the worst thing we ever did

So your niece works in a bookies but she has access to the personal finance details of all her customers?

    Something smells decidedly dodgy...

  15. Oh dear, poor Nigel being shown off the hypocritical xenophobe that he is.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/10836159/Nigel-Farage-in-car-crash-interview-as-he-faces-Ukip-racism-claims.html

Please can the 'he tells it like it is' brigade note - it's ok for him to marry an immigrant who speaks a different language, and have children who speak English as a second language, because he's a white middle aged man who us part of the establishment. It's just you mugs who have to do as he says, not him and his like

  16. What I mean by "small government" is not a sound bite, but an actual dismantling of government departments that are not needed combined with making laws and regulations simpler to then let less people manage them. Does the NHS need to be the 3rd largest employer in the world? Do 18% of the UK's working population need to be in the public sector?

I don't know about minimum wage jobs, I've not had one since I was 17. But if you *make* the locals take them instead of the dole, wouldn't that be better?

But it doesn't matter. You and I are so far apart on the political spectrum, and I no longer have a vote in the UK (I probably do, but I'll not use it).

You are from the red north, and I lived for too long in the blue south. You are Labour and Unions, I am conservative (small 'c' as I'm not Tory) and pro-business.

Compelling the the jobless to take minimum wage jobs will mean even higher welfare payments in tax credits to prop up the large and profitable companies in the UK who will not pay a living wage. Your generalising of everyone 'Oop North' being union loving Labour supporters and everyone in the south being dynamic engines of entrepreneurship is also pretty wide of the mark.
