We have been here for 6 weeks and I haven't built up the courage to play a round of golf on my own yet. When I do, are there any course's that people recommend that alow non members at the weekend? Would love to here peoples opinions. Thanks, Rick.

    Electricians In Australia

Hi Thanks for helping, but, im moving to victoria. Thanks anyway. As an average, how much would a bank lend me for a mortage, earning 60,000 a year. In the uk it works out about 4x your annual wage. Thanks Ricky

    Electricians In Australia

Hi. Can anyone help me. I am moving to victoria as soon as my house sells in the uk (hopefully in the next 3 months) and was wondering if anybody knows where I will find the most work as an electrician (mainly hospitals, schools, office blocks and domestic work) so I can decide on an area to move to. Thanks Ricky.

    electrician, returning home

It is so easy. You only need 60% to pass. It's Just a matter of knowing where to look in the regs book. Just out of interest do all mining jobs required you to stay away from family or is it possible to travel there each day? I'm looking to move ASAP and am a bit unsure what sort of wage I would expect to get working on industrial and commercial sites. Do they pay price work like here? Plus if I managed to get a job paying $80,000 how much would a mortgage company let me borrow? Back home they will lend you about 4x your annual wage. Would appreciate if anyone could answer my questions as its much more reasuring coming from somebody who is already there. Thanks Rick.
  5. Hi, I am an electrician in the UK and am looking for an electrical company to sponsor my visa. I am interested in living in Melbourne/Mornington area and was wondering if anybody knows of any large electrical contractors locally?? I'd also be interested in hearing from people who have gone over on a employer sponsored visa as I would like to know how the process works. And finally does anybody know how much AUD$ would a industrial/commercial electrician earn annually? Many Thanks Ricky (I also posted this in the Victoria section)

Vetasses Trade evidence form for electricains, help!

Thanks for your reply. Did you write it in great detail of exactly how to wire the specific job you had chosen for this question? Or did you just write a rough idea as if the reader understands electrical work? ie. the testing question, could be quite involved in description or simply a list of tests in order. thanks for your help.
  8. Hi everyone, I am in desperate need for help with how to fill out the SR 2.6 trade evidence form for an electrician. I am confused as to exactly what information they are after? They are small boxes on the form, but they seem to be asking for a very detailed step by step explanations. for example on page one, competency groups, question 1, it asks what is your experience in installing wiring accessories and associated equipment, but on the header it asks you to describe in detail your work experience and include the processes and procedures used. Can anyone let me know how much detail i need to put down or has anyone got any examples i could overlook to give me some idea? thanks in advance. Ricky
