  1. Hi all, It's been a very long time since I posted on here. This is going to be a bit of a long winded post so I'm apologising in advance. I arrived in Australia on 13 September last year. To say that my initial experience in Australia was rubbish is an understatement. I arrived at Brisbane Airport on a much delayed flight from Heathrow to find my taxi driver wouldn't be able to collect me any longer and was stuck at the airport where a friend managed to come out at 12 at night, this with my 3 kids in tow. First few days were great but the 'friend' we were staying with initially, turned out to be psychotic (an understatement) and had to move to our own place with a days notice within 2 weeks of arriving on the Gold Coast. We stayed at a holiday let for 2 months and decided that I'd leave Queensland and move to Sydney. I found the car I had purchased on the Gold Coast was a dud and we had been ripped off. Landed up having an accident too with only minor damage but first accident in 20 years. Arrived in Sydney in December and my husband arrived a few days later. Something bad has happened to us every single week in the last 5 months without fail. Initially I laughed it off and thought surely this has got to get better... but it seems our bad luck is going to be long running for now. We bought another car, and turns out we've been ripped off with that. My landlord is being an idiot and not allowing me to run a Childminding business from home and we're not allowed pets even though we were initially given the impression we could. This means I cannot bring my pets over from the UK. Along with these 'major' things, a lot of minor things are happening in between. I'm fed up, absolutely had enough of all the crap I've had to put up with in the last 7 months and desperately want to go back to our home in the UK, where I have friends and family. I'm finding life expensive here, I cannot work thanks to my landlord and we are now struggling. We never struggled in the UK. Only thing I struggled with was the weather and even that seems appealing now as the weather seems exactly the same as the UK here anyway. Hope you can all understand this. Am I being a spoilt brat? I don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for any advice x
