<p>We arrived in Oz on the 11th Novenber 2009 so we are just coming up to 4 months. Yes we are in Brisbane. We are renting a townhouse in a suburb called Wakerley. Its South East Brisbane, not far from Wynnum and Manly. Have you any idea of the area you want to live yet?</p>

<p>We booked our flights today fly out to Brissie via Singapore on 26th August.</p>

<p>How long have you been in Oz? Did you end up in Brisbane or somwhere else in Qld?</p>

<p>Congratulations on the Visa. You must be well excited. I see your a metal machinist. You shouldnt have too much trouble finding work, I got a job after 2 weeks of being here and I think the job market has picked up since then.</p>

<p>Hi Brelly, Just wanted to say Hi and good luck as I know you are leaving soon. I hope you are all sorted to go now. I bet its hard saying goodbye to everyone. <p>Our flights are booked for 9th November. Things have been pretty hectic since getting the visa. I think we are about sorted now though. Unfortunately it looks as though we will have to leave our house in the UK un sold which is a bit of a worry but we didnt want to let it stop us. It seems for once we got lucky with getting our visa just before they changed the rules again. I really feel for you guys. I remember how devestated I was the last time it happened.</p>

<p>Hi, hows things? I see from the poll on our QLD thread that you are planning on leaving in October? Is that still the case? Have you got a leaving date yet? Hope you are well and all organsied for the next step! x</p>

<p>I didn't ask anything else. I got the impression the people you speak to on the phone aren't the ones who actually process the applications and are taking a guess at whats going on. I agree with you. I think they are holding back till the end of the month. It would just be nice to know when we will hear something, even if its a request for more information so we don't have to think about it every waking hour!!!! Simon.</p>

<p>God, no wonder you are very frustrated now! What did they say when you said you had rung before and that yours was being processed and in directors office waiting to be signed off? I dont think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing in that place. Doesn't leave us with much confidence does it! </p>

<p>Personally, SS have been so slow coming out, I reckon they are holding off till the end of the month? Lets hope they get so many complaints from people they are refusing due to lack of funds that they do what you said they said to you and not require any further documents from us all on the old form! Did you get a name of who you spoke to? Or was it just the receptionist?</p>

<p>The other states dont seem to be giving out this much grief do they, we obviously chose the wrong state! Keep your chin up! xxTashaxx</p>
