[h=2]Any Psych nurses in Brisbane & Surrounds[/h] Hi everyone, I am a mental health nurse currently working in NSW, my family and I are seriously considering relocating to Queensland within the next 6 months. Is there any mental health nurses who would be kind enough to give me an honest opinion of what its like working as a psych nurse in Queensland, do you get much training, are there good career prospects,support and clinical supervision and regular performance appraisals etc? I would be so grateful for any feedback. Cheers

As a nurse,you could earn that in a fortnight if you do 2 overtimes in a fortnight!Just a normal RN 8 will do that $3900 easy and overtime's available everywhere.My friend applied for her PR,6months after she started.

What an amazing post Sunshine111;thats exactly how we feel in a nutshell!Were coming back as soon as our house sells,lovely to hear that your kids are thriving well.

Thanks everyone for your replies,most of it has been positive.We know the nhs is not in a good way but that doesn't bother us,it's not what it's cracked up to be here either.We are in the process of selling our house & we can't make any concrete real plans until its sold;few viewers so far so fingers crossed!!!

Hi everyone, both my wife and I are nurses we would like to ask how other nurses have found it going back to the UK. Did you have to wait long before getting employment (I understand they don't do telephone interviews there to Oz :sad:) Are you able to work straight away or do you have to wait for CRB clearance first? We were silly and gave up our UK registration and are in the process of reapplying anyone been through this? How long does it normally take? Any other information regarding moving back would be really greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. The Cox family.
