Can anyone advise which airlines offer extra allowance when emigrating. I have been told that airlines have stopped offering this service?? Anyone have an recent experience? thank you xx

Unfortunately we have no contacts, we will book a short term let once we have sold our house but until then we can't provide e shippers with anything. :-(

We are in a similar position with our dogs. Vaccinations done but need Aussie address for booking and permit. Coming in oct, booking short term let once house sold and can firm up dates. Could anyone please assist with providing an address for the initial permit until we can firm up a let? I'm sure this is a problem experienced by lots of previous migrants :-)

Our pet shippers have requested an address in Australia before we can start the dogs paperwork. We are planning on flying in October but haven't had a house buyer yet. We are therefore reluctant to book flights and accommodation as we are not tied . I am sure that we aren't the first and will not be the last, can anyone offer advice who has also been through this please, thank you.

I have just spoken to my sons school and he is taking the English Baccalaureate not the international Baccalaureate, they have also told me that these and his GCSEs will be recognised by the schools in Australia. I know that they are considered a good school and proud of their acheivements however, I don't think that they understand When would be the best time time will be the least disruption the eternal dilema of those emigrating with teenagers. Will the Ebaccalaureate be recognised if he completes his GCSES and comes over at 16 or will he need to retake the Oz high school diplomas before he can move on to higher education before Uni?

We have to arrive by July 2014. We were planning on coming this year but due to family illness have had to postpone our plans. Our eldest G is currently aged 14 (Yr 9 UK) & youngest M 12 (yr7) and would have had no problems slotting into education in Oz. Due to our postponement we are now in a dilemma and would really appreciate some advice from you guys. Do we come over to Adelaide in October 2013 when G is 15, or come just after he has done his exams in Uk at the end of June 2014. His school is offering selected students the International Baccalaureate or the traditional GCSEs. we are talking ourselves around in circles. G wants to be a marine biologist. We are also confused about the eduational years in Adelaide. thank you
