Hi,

i have sent online application for SS Vic and day after i received an email that my application is invalid.

" Thank you for your application for nomination under the Skilled - Sponsored Visa scheme. To be eligible under the occupation of 1299-11 Research and Development Manager you must meet the requirements of our Skilled - Sponsored eligibility list and therefore the application has been made invalid"

I really do not understand?! I read a milion times their requirements and i met all, but they do not accept my application online. I send them reply and i am waiting now their response. i guess that i have done something wrong in online application but i really do not know what:arghh:. The application is very slow and unclear...

Does anyone know why it happen? Or have anyone else been in same situation?

Hi,

yes is answer on all your question. This thing which confusing me is that they wrote application is invalid, not refused.

On their Eligibility List it is said that R&D Manager has to have skills/experiences in Science Industry with specialisation at least one of four: R&D processes, Business development, Product development or Commercialisation. I have work experience in Business Development (International trade) in one globally known company which my resume shows.

Email is totally confused me because it came only one day after application.

i think, you might have made some mistake when u fill up the application form. Do u have a copy?? if you do, try to check it again... usually when u don't have the minimum requirement, they will reject your application right away. some of the questions in the form is quite confusing, i'm thinking that you might have mistakenly filled it up...

it says that your application is invalid right... so that means u can apply again... u don't have to wait for 6 months to apply... apply again... good luck

Thanks Vinnie,

i think the same, but there is not possibility to check what i have done in application nor change something exept contact details. I would fill up again but maybe i will do the same mistake.

I hope they will answer me soon. :(

Hi Eva,

Below is the e-mail i received from the Vic on 3rd August 2009. why don't you log on to track your application and check whether you have allocated a case number or not... if there is a case number that means your ss is received... keep in touch...

Dear Vin,

Thank you for the information you sent to the Victorian Government's Skilled and Business Migration Program. Your reference number is *********

I applied for 175 in May 09, Im an accountant, they only added it to their list on 17 July...Im hoping that the reason that they havent emailed me is because Im already in Melb and have been working as an accountant here for 10 months now and might get back to me quicker than 10 weeks with an answer...but u never know I may have just fallen through the cracks...will keep u posted!

Vinnie, I contacted the Vic gov today and they told me that they never received my application, I told them that I can see it submitted on the website, so they checked into it & called back to say that they located my application in cyberspace and wud process it as a 21st July application not at todays date. Hopefully I get a case id in the next 24 hrs!

I also saw on their website today that all applications before 22 July would be processed using the old list, which worried me as Im on the 17th July new list but I was told that they will be giving a few days grace & my application wont be rejected because I submitted it a day early!

Eva,

Thank god, you've contacted them... i wonder how it got lost in the cyberspace... but good to hear that they've manage to locate your form... no worries, i think your application will be processed faster coz your job is in the CSL and MODL... so, no worries... based on my observation from other forums, they received their ss within a month of submission for those who are in the list... keep in touch... when yours is processed, i'll know mine won't be long... :D

yeah I would advise anyone who hasnt received a case id to contact them...they might be in the same boat as me...i was hardly the only application to go AWOL. Fingers crossed they process it quick & sponsor me...I need my 175/176 visa granted by 24 Sept or I will be deported :-(

unfortunately Vinnie a WHV cant be extended unless u do farm work for 3 months & the DIAC said to my migration agent today that I wont be given any priority given the fact that Im onshore & my current visa is expiring :-( I posted a question of the site last month and no one had any suggestions http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/64979-dilemma-whv-waiting-175-a.html

so unless Vic SS get back asap Im going to have to leave my current job & life here, put my furniture in storage and go back to Ireland for a few months till the DIAC get around to May 09 CSL applications :-(

Good luck Eva

There was a guy who got his VIC SS in 12 days the other day - he applied the beginning of July. He was already living and working in Melbourne so hopefully you will be lucky too.

Of the 6 people I know applied to VIC SS in July - 2 people recieved their SS already.

Mind you we applied in June and are still waiting to hear - of the 10 of us I know about from June - only 4 have so far been accepted the rest of us are waiting.

I have no knowledge about this at all - but saw mention the other day of something called a bridging visa??? It might be worth asking what that is and seeing if it might span the gap if you need to.

Thanks for the wish of luck Vickymel...Ive my fingers & toes crossed! I wont rest easy until I have a case ID from Vic after the application fiasco...i still cant believe that it went missing on their website. I wish i cud get a bridging visa...they are only available if u are applying for an onshore visa not a 175/6...going to go to the dept of foreign affairs in melb next week and see if they can help at all:-)

vickymel,

if you don't mind, can i know what job did u nominate??

eva,

can you use a job offer letter to speed up your application process? Because, right now, they're processing all the employer sponsored applicants in pronto... i hope this helps...

Vinnie, my employer cant sponsor me as its a temp ongoing role which will never go permanent as the dept are migrating to sydney in the next 6 months :-( Spoke to the ASPC today they estimate that I will have a CO in Nov and said that unless I get Vic state sponsorship in the meantime there is no way they can process my 175 by the end of Sept.

I was wondering has everyone who applied for Vic SS got a case ID & how long did it take to get one? Im still waiting :-(

Eva,

they still haven't allocate any case id for you? As you know, I submitted on 1st august (Saturday night) and got my id on monday (3rd august) morning (9.30am). If they still haven't allocated any case id for you today, i suggest to call them again tomorrow. But before you call them, do check your e-mail and track your application first.
