Guest Lindseyf
Hi, can anyone give us advice on wether to hold tight or get our Police checks and meds out of the way. We are waiting for SS should be through within the week (processing times permitting) so then our 176 family sponsored will change to SS. We have our flights booked for the 28th Dec and we are heading to Dublin on the 10th, so really we need everything to be sorted before the 10th Dec. Our worry is that the CO may ask for specifics medicals??? So what do you think, hold tight for a CO, or get the ball rolling and get our PCC and our meds out of the way????:unsure:
nickjenkinson
Hi, if your flights are booked for the 28th December, you might aswell get them done now. We waited until the CO requested them, which was last week. Police checks take 10 days, medicals take 7 days (blood testing) and x-rays 7 days. The they have to be sent to Oz. SO all in, it probably take 3 weeks for them to be done and sent to Oz. Thats assuming there are no complications with your meds. The CO will only request a standard medical that all visa applicants go through. It is only after this that they can request further medical info and that will only happen if something shows up on your original medical. Hope this helps.
