The only way to know for sure is to apply for the skills assessment and see what they come back with. On face value, based on the info you give, I would guess that he'd have a high chance of success. Sounds like the right qualifications .. one thing my partner had to double check was that his bachelors and masters were accredited courses. if you go to http://www.ieagreements.org you can workout which courses are acreddited. toOZ2012
Engineers Australia are usually pretty responsive with queries. Why not give them a call or send them an e-mail? For professional engineering status, one usually needs a 4 year bachelor degree. AFAIK, they only go by undergraduate degrees and his Masters is not "strictly" relevant and probably won't even be considered. He can still try as a Technologist which only needs a 3 year degree. https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/About%20Us/Migration%20Skills%20Assessment/final_b_-_msa_booklet_july_2015_me1_1.pdf Edited August 3, 2015 by toOZ2012
