  1. I just got my visa granted this morning! Timeline Application lodged 14th July Nomination approved 6th November Visa Granted 10th November
  2. Wow just looking at your signature, did your employer nomination get approved within a few weeks? What processing centre were you?
  3. Just some further information on this. The position is Web Developer and I have an honours degree as well as 1 year 7 months as working as a Web Developer since I graduated. Still waiting to hear on nomination, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
  4. Thanks, RCB approval was 28th July. Does anyone have any idea roughly how much it is before immi are coming back on employer nominations? Or is it varying greatly depending on processing centre? etc.. Thanks
  5. Just an update on my timeline Nomination lodged: 14th July Application and supporting documents lodged: 5th August Processing Centre: Parramatta Haven't heard anything yet, but hopefully hear something on the nomination soon.
  6. Thanks for the reply. I submitted my form Friday week ago but still no response, I really hope to get one soon.
  7. Thank you for the reply blossom, that's what I was hoping to hear. They said it can take up to 4 weeks to process the form but hopefully it doesn't take that long.
  8. I'm looking for some help or perhaps information from someone who has been in a similar situation. My RCB was approved on 13th July and employer nomination lodged on 14th July, I submitted my application/documentation on 5th August. I am currently on 417 which as a lot of you will be aware has a restriction that only allows you to work with the one employer for 6 months, my 6 months was up on Friday, I have been in touch with immigration and they said I have been granted bridging visa A, however it is currently 'out of action' as my 417 doesn't expire until January and my bridging visa won't kick in until then. I then submitted a 'permission to work beyond 6 months form' along with a 'letter of support' last week, my question is what are the chances this will get approved while my 187 is being processed? I currently in a rental agreement and have bills to pay, thankfully I have some savings but they won't last forever. Any information from people who have been in or know of people who have been in a similar situation is greatly appreciated.
  9. Hey guys, my employer lodged the nomination for my position yesterday along with the RCB. I am wondering if I go ahead and fill out my application and pay if (hopefully in the unlikely event) the employer nomination is rejected will I get my money back? I am keen to get my application started ASAP. Cheers
  10. I was told by a friend today that anything applying for a 187 after 1st july will have to do a skills test regardless of their education, I can't find this information online has anyone else heard this? cheers
  11. Hey guys, I am currently working as a web developer and my employer is willing to sponsor my on the 187 visa. I have a few questions that maybe those who are going through the process could help with. I am a bit confused to what the first step is, does my employer have to nominate me before I can do anything? Also what stream to I apply under, I am told it is the direct entry stream but not sure really what the difference is? I am currently on the WHV visa, not sure if that makes a difference? Also it is unlikely my visa will be approve before my 6 months are up so I am also told that I will go onto a briding visa with full work rights whilst the visa is being processed? Any more advice/clarification on this would be greatly appreciated. cheers
