Hello peem, do not trust these people who answers the phone 100% usually they have no idea when application going to get co. It's all guessing game which we can do in this forum anyways. I wouldn't trust that your application is complete because they haven't looked at it most probably. So what I suggest is you review all the uploaded docs on immi account and if anything missing get it uploaded before they ask for further docs that way you won't have to wait another few months, like in my case because your visa time is 3 months later than nom.

Yes mavi, its crazy journey. Thanks. And thanks everyone else for good words. Be patience and please do check your documents yourself, don't just rely on ma. Ma do make lot of mistakes. In my case it was horrible.

Timeline Nom applied 13 Jan 2016 Visa applied 20 April 2016 Occupation motor mechanic State qld regional Nom doc requested 29 august 2016 declaration form only Nom doc submitted 29 august 2016 Visa docs requested 5 sep 2016 medical, police check, declaration form, passport size photo Nom approved 6 sep 2016 Visa docs submitted 12 sep 2016 Visa granted 17 nov 2016 Vic pese 187 direct entry high risk single applicant

I could be wrong but what I found is if you lodge nom and visa date apart then when they approve nom, they open visa application straight away. If everything is there the visa will be granted straight up but if they ask for more docs then the application goes back to the pool and they reopen it when the time comes according to when u apply. Means if u apply visa after three months of nom then they will reopen visa after that time period.

Vic. I called them one week ago and the answer was its normal time for 187 and my application is actively progressing but no case officer has reopened it since new docs submitted. Where I can see in this forum people are getting visa way quicker than that. Its really frustrating. My occupation is motor mechanic, I heard its more priority occupation but doesn't make sense why they kept me waiting for two months already. Anyone out there in the same waiting period????

Hey guys, where is mavi disappeared these days?? Can anyone tell me why on earth immi taking so long to get back to my case. It's been 52 days since they asked for further documents since then haven't heard anything. Status still says assessment in progress. Whereas I can see other applicants getting approvals usually in a month period. My employer called them two weeks ago, the immi told him that they not allowed to give employer the details but immi was being bit flexible and gave him idea saying will have decision in two weeks time on my case. Well two week will pass tomorrow for god sake.

Ring them up all September applicant. Ask what's happening.

It all depends on ur situation, occupation, country and your history. it can take from one day to 10 months. Normally it is 30-45 days these days. Really cant say how they operate. It's all depends on lot of factors. Mate can you let us know ur timeline please. Thanks
