Hey Eureka I've just noticed your in the real estate industry and wondered if you could help we are returning back to the Gold Coast after a 2 year absence in sept/October and are looking to move to hope island are you aware of any furnished apartments available in that area for a 3 month lease whilst we wait for our container to arrive , also is this still a good place to live low crime etc your advice would be appreciated we lived in ormeau before and crime up there was on the increase

Looking around Helensvale Hope island but no matter where you look 80% of crime is theft or break in

Looking at moving to the gold coast area but a bit concerned about police stats on break ins looks like this is on the up.Your advice would be appreciated I'm i worring to much about nothing.

Lady Rainicorn i 'm sorry my opinion didn't agree with you but did returning to the uk work out for you.

Simply Don't do it, we spent 2 years on the Gold Coast and came back due to us having a little girl and my partner missing family etc.. Now we have realised we have made the biggest mistake of our lives, I can go on forever why i hate the UK so much but i suppose you have heard it all before so i won't bother, stick it out guys it will be worth it once you have settled we will be applying for RR Visa early next year and hopefully will be returning back to the goldie can't wait :cute:

Myself and my Wife are looking to return to Australia we arrived in August 2011 (16 Months) on a 175 skilled visa and returned Back to the Uk November 2012 due to Family illness and also the birth of our Australian Daughter made life hard out there, but now we have realised it was a big mistake and want to return for a better life for our daughter but my 175 visa expired last october 2013. We are now in a process of applying for RRV and have been advised that we could get a 3 month RRV or 12 Month RRV its the gamble to take i suppose but we need to sell our house and really will not be ready to move until next year. So my question is the longer you leave it to apply for RRV is there less chance of getting one or is there a cut off date, I don't want to apply until next year just incase they give us a 3 month RRV and the processing time is only 2 weeks. Your help would be appreciated :biggrin:
