Elliott35
Hi, I'm visiting friends in Oz some time in May. Lets suppose that while i'm there, i get offered a job, now I have no qualifications for this job, but i've had 20 years experience at it in the UK. The job is not on the skill in demand list either. Would i be able to apply for any kind of work visa. I'm 43 so WHV is not available. Could the company still sponsor me? even though its not an skills in demand job? Would I have to leave Oz again to apply for any visa that might be available? Any advice or anyone done similar? Thanks.
Guest jonescl35
Have a look at the regional sponsorship. You still need a employer sponsor but it is not as strict so you may find some hope there. I am in same situation, scratching around for ideas to get in too. RockDr
Have you checked the ENSOL as well as the SOL? The employer nominated skills list (ENSOL) has more occupations on it than the independent one (SOL)
